Tigh an Uiltt is set in rural Aberdeenshire and as well as being an Airbnb Host we also run a small family business from the croft. We have 2 horses, one sheep and 2 dogs and guests are welcome to wander around the fields and pet the horses. We are located 6 miles from the village of Portsoy and the Moray Firth Coastline where there are beautiful rugged coastal walks. The nearest towns are Banff, Huntly and Keith with excellent amenities and places of interest to visit such as the distilleries!
“Moira was the perfect host - kind, thoughtful, attentive, nothing too much trouble. Delicious, wholesome breakfast and dinner. A lovely bedroom with it's own sitting room and bathroom. Close to many attractions, Castles etc. and the beautiful coastline at Portsoy and Surfer's Beach at Sandend. Thank you so much Moira and Ian. It was a pleasure to meet you both, also Tilly, Dui, Minnie the Sheep and the Horses.”
Welcome to your home away from home and escape from hectic life! The Admiral's Rest is a stunning cottage built in 1900, nestled in the stunning historic fishing village of Sandend.
“This was a lovely cosy cottage with a great view to the beach. We enjoyed relaxing in front of the stove after some nearby cliff walks. The cottage is well equipped and Kirsty left some breakfast provisions which was great. The hot tub in the garden was a brilliant way to star gaze. Lovely place to stay in the winter and I’m sure it would be just as good in the summer.”
This immaculate 1 bedroomed bungalow offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere and is situated in the small coastal town of Portknockie. A quiet friendly community where everyone is made to feel welcome. This bungalow is perfect for a cosy couples weekend away from the city life. If you enjoy golf, Moray has great courses to offer you, you could also dabble in some whisky tasting along the Speyside whisky trail, and if wildlife is more your style then the dolphin centre isn't far away.
“Jaqueline is an absolutely amazing host! There is no one like her. She is extremely kind, helpful and considerate. I do not believe there is a better place to visit than her cottage in Portknockie. Don't even think about different offers because you're not going to find anything better :))) You are literally 3 minutes walk from the sea and you can even see it from the living room and the bedroom. The views and cliffs there are astonishing and this is an amazing place to visit, gain some peace and rest!”
