There are many local pubs and eateries & & shops and a bus stop at the end of the road for buses towards Southampton, Lyndhurst or Lymington, with links to explore the region and a short train journey will take you to Bournemouth for the beaches! There is so much to explore in the New Forest all year round and Ashurst is a great base to explore from.

The surroundings offer natural woods and trails, where you will have endless walks and cycle rides throughout some of England's most stunning countryside. The L'il Cat House is a 20 minute drive from the beautiful beach of Lepe, that faces The Isle Of Wight; 5 minutes from Peppa Pig World (Paultons Park). In the grounds behind the owners’ house, the cabin is secluded & discreet, but with your friendly hosts close at hand if needed.

The Old Dairy in the New Forest

The Old Dairy is a quaint studio cottage in the New Forest. The one bedroom studio was once the old parlor room for the dairy. With lots of original features such as the old brick chimney breast and wooden beams. This is perfect for a couple who want to come away to explore the forest for a few days. Equipped with a kitchenette for small meals with fridge microwave and single induction hob it also has a shower room. Set on our 70 acre farm which you can explore with fresh farm eggs daily.

The wildlife includes herds of deer that you will see up close. The barn is situated 2 miles from the New Forest Park national park.

Light and cosy self-contained annex is located down a quiet street close to the New Forest. A five minute walk will take you to the forest where you will often meet New Forest ponies and cows. There are also plenty of local pubs in close proximity and a local shop. There is plenty to do such as walks and bike rides in the forest, shopping trips in Lyndhurst. For families and little ones, it’s less than 15 minutes drive to Paultons Park where you find Peppa Pig World.
