Located in the beautiful and peaceful scenery of the Highlands of Scotland. You’ll love my place because of serenity and central location for exploring the Highlands. This is a countryside location and requires a car to travel. The nearest shop, restaurant and bus service is 2 miles away in Strathpeffer. Please remember that this is a flat that was originally a granny flat and there is some noise from the property above, please understand this if you book. Please do not book if this bothers you.

This traditional Highland cottage is spacious, bright and cosy. Original features include a huge 18th century stone fireplace and slate floors, alongside modern comforts such as a wood burning stove, open plan kitchen, shower room and king size bed (+travel cot on request). The cottage is set in a private garden with views of fields and trees. Private parking. A fantastic base to discover beautiful walks and Highland landmarks; Strathpeffer village 1 mile, Inverness 18 miles, Route 500 2 miles.

Relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife at this unique location, secluded amongst scots pine and birch trees with stunning views, close to the NC 500 and also right on the door step of a Corbet and a Munro for hill walking. There is a beautiful walk around the river blackwater just minutes from the cabin with falls and old bridges. Stable Cottage is situated in a secluded, peaceful 4 acre private woodland, just outside the picturesque village of Garve on the North 500 Route. An ideal spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with beautiful walks and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The Cottage was once used as the horse stables that served the local estate. It has been tastefully renovated to ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Cosy bungalow in nice wee village; shops and train/bus routes. The Ground floor is included in this listing; upstairs is kept for storage. One double bed only, the listing says one bed in lounge, only sofas but I can’t correct this… There is a covered deck out the back door, great for sitting out in the rain! Good base for access to rest of NW Scotland; on the edge of the NC500, 14 miles from Inverness. Please read the house manual; note this is a quiet street and not a party house..

The property is situated in a secluded part of our garden approximately 22 meters from the main house, with stunning views onto a beautiful field and Wardlaw Mausoleum (Outlander) We are just 1 mile from the NC500 route, 8 miles from Inverness,, 4 miles from the the pretty little village of Beauly. There is an hourly bus service that runs from kirkhill which can take you to both places. Achnagairn castle is just a 5 minute walk away.
