Tranquil Retreat with Pools, Gardens and Inverter

Nestled in lush greenery, this traditional Cape Dutch manor cottage is the epitome of tranquility with rolling lawns, big trees, and a three-tiered swimming pool. This peaceful 70m2 one bedroom en suite garden cottage is set on 8000m2 of lavish gardens in a quiet cul de sac in Upper Constantia. Expect to be woken by the indigenous Egyptian geese, guinea fowls and squirrels. The cottage has an open plan all encompassing modern kitchen, including an integrated fridge and dishwasher, oven/hob, microwave and a stocked Saeco coffee machine. The elegant lounge area comprises of two comfortable sofa's, a flat screen television with cable tv and large dvd selection. The en suite bedroom has a double bed with a down duvet and crisp white linen as well as ample cupboard space and a stable door leading on to the private patio and gardens. There is also a safe for guests use, as well as a private patio with bbq (Weber), which overlooks the garden. The garden and pools surrounding the cottage may be used at any time and are essentially for your exclusive use as no one else uses them. The cottage has its own alarm system including exterior beams that are activated with a remote control. Amenities include: - Complimentary uncapped wifi (high speed fibre) - Flat screen television with cable tv and a large DVD selection - Stocked Saeco coffee machine - Bathroom amenities - Day tours and airport transfers on request - Laundry service on request In addition to the cottage guests have access to the garden and three inter-leading pools. Guests are welcome to have their friends/family over - the dining room table seats six guests. There is also ample parking space on the driveway, which may be used. Guests are welcome to inquire at any time with information they may need. Upon arrival I give guests my mobile number where they can contact me should they need anything. Having lived in South Africa for many years as well as having been in the tourism industry for the past decade you can be sure to find out about the little must-do gems in Cape Town. The cottage is a gem perfectly poised in a beautiful lush neighbourhood with easy access to the popular Constantia wine route, picturesque nature trails, and world-class, award-winning restaurants. Our recommendation would be to rent a car or to alternatively use an Uber, which is a fantastic and popular taxi service. If you are an avid hiker or enjoy walking you can reach the shops with a 30 minute scenic walk. LAUNDRY: A washing machine and tumble dryer are included in the listing at a charge. Should you wish to have your washing done this can be organised at a cost of ZAR 150 per load (8kg) and includes washing and folding. During weekdays your washing will be returned the same day provided it is given to housekeeping before 11am. CLEANING SERVICE: A pre and post cleaning of the apartment is included. Should you require servicing during you stay this can be arranged at R300 per day. For stays longer than seven days a complimentary clean and linen change is included. WATER: Cape Town is situated in a water-scarce region and is currently in the aftermath of a severe drought. The City of Cape Town has implemented water restrictions. We therefore kindly ask our guests to be mindful of this. SUPERMARKETS: The closest supermarkets are located in Constantia Village, which is located 4.3km away from the property, an 8 minute drive.

Relax, Unwind, Recharge in a Stunning, Secluded, Quiet Guesthouse in Bishops Court, Cape Town

This cottage oozes charm and character. It has an open plan feel although a beautiful mahogany screen divides the bedroom suite from the living area. Rose Cottage is a stand alone cottage on an acre property. Guests have access to the exquisitely maintained garden and the private and secluded swimming pool and pool house. There is parking available for one vehicle on the property. The main house is occupied by the owners and two dogs and a cat. There is a full time housekeeper and gardener on the premises.Rose Cottage is only serviced from Monday to Friday for between 11am and 12pm and not on the weekends and public holidays. The cottage is situated in the upmarket, leafy suburb of Bishops Court. Clifton, Kalk Bay, Simons Town, Cape Point, Constantia valley wine farms, Kirstenbosch Gardens and Table Mountain are all on our doorstep as are major shopping malls/restaurants. Bishops court is not close to public transport and guest either hire a car or make use of the ubiquitous Uber taxis. The property is fully alarmed with access to armed response.
