Holiday rentals with breakfast in Colorado River

A wonderful place to relax away from the crowds at our son's graduation from Texas A&M, and an easy drive to Houston. Everything is just as shown in the photos and described, and John was very responsive and helpful. We especially enjoyed the history - of the house, the Fanthorp Inn historic site (and their very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers), and "downtown" Anderson with its 2 antique stores and Toasted Tomato (we didn't have a chance to try the others). As an old house with lots of character, it does have some quirks (steps up to the house and down to the bathroom) that may make it challenging for those with impaired mobility, but with handrails my 80-year-old father had no problems. We hope to come back again sometime!

Very quite and peaceful neighborhood. Although we didn’t spend much time there the house included board games and a backyard area where one could enjoy. The hospitality was also great. The home included a lot of items that made it easier to feel at home. This is a place I would stay again and would definitely recommend.

Very cute house. It was a very quick stay but we were very comfortable. Loved the back yard, unfortunately we didn’t have time to hang out back there. Conveniently ten minutes away from downtown and fifteenth minutes from the airport. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay at this home and really appreciated how communicative the host was-always quick to respond to any questions. The home felt very “lived in,” which we actually appreciated for a kid-friendly stay. The photos were accurate overall, though the exterior was more overgrown than expected and the trampoline looked a bit “play at your own risk.” That said, our kids had an amazing time with the seemingly endless toys, and it was a huge relief not having to bring bulky items like a stroller or a Pack ‘n Play, since they’re here. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C kept us cool during a hot Austin weekend, and having a good washer/dryer made life easier. The location is definitely a strong point—easy access to some great local spots, including Launderette and Bufalina, both of which we’d highly recommend. Check-out was simple. Our only real suggestion would be a deeper cleaning refresh to match the overall comfort and utility. This place is equipped for families!

We had a very relaxing time here. We were on day 10 and 11 of our 14 day vacation and this was just what we needed. A home away from home. We were very welcomed and felt so at ease at this location. First time at an AirB&B but thanks to our experience, it won't be our last. Thank you so much for the great hospitality and especially the banana bread. 😃

This was one of the best AirBnB experiences I’ve had. The place was super clean, all instructions were laid out and very simple. All the extras that came with the rental were much appreciated. Above all, again, I couldn’t believe how clean the home was. I would and will recommend Amanda’s place to anyone and everyone.

Twilight Ranch may be my family’s favorite airbnb stay to date. We booked last minute and our host, Leah, was incredibly fast to respond which was a constant throughout our stay. The location is a bit further from Fredericksburg but the drive to/from is stunning and you have plenty of privacy to relax on the patio, in a hammock or even in the hot tub. Our favorite part by far was the horse on site. The host made sure we were comfortable with her being out and about first, but she was the star of our stay. The horse was friendly and open to pets, often just walking beside us as we enjoyed time outside. My toddler couldn’t get enough of “my nay”. Twilight Ranch was perfectly set up for our family and I absolutely would stay there again in the future.

Celia’s place was the best we’ve stayed at in Bandera. We like to visit Bandera several times throughout the year and this by far has been the best place to stay at. The place is decorated so cute and we felt right at home here. The place was described very well on the website. Lots of space to relax and enjoy the reasons we come to Bandera.

Jane was more than accommodating and went the extra mile to bring my pup some treats on our second day of the trip. My puppy had found some thing to disassemble while I was out on business and Jane an agreeable and negotiable as I promised to pay for anything that needed to be replaced. She didn’t even request any amount as to what I need to pay so I paid what I deemed a fair amount would be and she was more than agreeable with what I had offered. 10-10 would definitely recommend and would stay here anytime I was in town.

We came in town for a quick overnight. Erin’s place was perfect - cozy, well stocked, and clean! Would definitely stay again.

Great historic hotel across from the town park. Host had exceeded our expectations with snacks, breakfast supplies, bottle water and juices and even fresh made cinnamon rolls in the fridge! We sat out on the balcony in the mornings for coffee (and the evenings for wine) and enjoyed the peaceful area. Even with a main road nearby we couldn’t hear anything in the place and slept really well.

Everything was great! We highly recommend this beautiful place that is pet friendly! Thank you.

Elli's was exactly what our family needed with the Grands traveling wth us. It really was like home away from home. We had enough space for everyone to be as comfortable as possible. It was VERY clean which pleased the crazy clean part of me. The location is minutes away from all the places you normally look for when you travel and THERE WAS COFFEE! Enough for the whole stay and not just the 1st day! Extra kudos for that Elli! If i ever come back to Killeen, we will definitely book again if it's available. Also, HUGE THANK YOU for allowing us to extend our stay one more day so our drive back to Omaha wasn't a fight through storms. 💚

Very cool place! The place is equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay. Plenty of space for street parking as well. The place does look a little more "rustic" compared to the pictures, but everything was mostly clean (we did find a few interesting items lying around, assumingly from the previous renters). We had upstairs neighbors and occasionally hear noises from them, sometimes very early in the morning so that's a small detail to watch out for, but nothing crazy. The headboards are just doors that are a bit old so if you accidentally touch them/knock into them there are things falling onto the bed, so do keep that in mind, plenty of pillows to "shield" yourself from accidentally doing that though. But outside of a few small quirks the place is nice, entry is private, and plenty of accommodations that other places wouldn't have. It really makes you feel like living in a home away from home. The rate is quite reasonable for what was offered. Would highly recommend.

Rented this place for my sister and brother in law so I didn't actually stay here. BUT, they said the place was extremely clean, close to everything, beautifully decorated, and quiet despite being in the middle of it all. They enjoyed their stay here immensely and we would definitely book and again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in SA!

Mikes getaway was exactly what’s described and more! My mom and I couldn’t have had a better place to call ours for the night in town! Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality!

Hostess was responsive to questions. Beds were comfortable. We were able to go down and get coffee and a pastry in the mornings. Lots of cute shops around and very convenient to things to do/see

This was a great bungalo. Just as descried, cozy with antique decor. The hot tub was a big hit for us. We ran the spartan race and it i=was just what we needed after a long day of exercise.

We had an amazing weekend! The farm was a perfect escape from the city, offering a peaceful atmosphere and fresh air. My kids absolutely loved interacting with the animals of the farm. It was a joy to see them so engaged and excited. A fantastic getaway for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature!

This is my third time staying at Adis & Jose’s place as I was planning my cross country move to Austin and my daughter and I have loved our stays here. They’re both kind and accommodating hosts and I would absolute recommend their place to everyone!

The house and all rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Myra is friendly and a gracious host. We stayed 2 days and her breakfast was awesome: buttery scrambled eggs with toast and bacon. There was also fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice. She okays her plan for breakfast with you beforehand in case there is a dietary restriction. She took us on an UTV tour of the property to meet and greet the animals. She brought plenty of carrots for our group to feed the animals. It was fun for everyone. The paddleboats & hot tub were also great. Highly recommend Old 300 Barbecue and Texas Cannon Brewing Company for pizza. We hope to come back again!

We had such a wonderful time we didn’t want to leave! The host was kind enough to provide some groceries for breakfast stocked in the fridge. The place was really well decorated to feel like an authentic Cowboy/cowgirl residence. I was impressed with the details! The bad was super comfy to sleep in as well. We enjoyed just walking around the property and saying hello to the longhorns too. The stars lit up the sky at night and was unbelievably beautiful!! Thank you for such a pleasant experience!

my perfect lil getaway, that i just can’t stay away from. this maybe my 5th or 6th time staying here at this beautiful B&B. relaxation is what i keep coming back for, from the delicious home cooked breakfast every morning to the lovely backyard and the perfect pool to cool off in. Ron and Susan are the sweetest couple and have really made this B&B feel like you’re right at home; if you’re looking for a perfect staycation close enough to austin this is the one!

I had a wonderful stay at this property during the Round Top Antique Festival! The stay was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for enjoying everything the festival has to offer. It was the perfect retreat after long days of exploring. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, making the experience even better. I’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!
