Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Collina d'Oro

Had a great stay at Olga's place, views and garden are spectacular and the house as listed so perfect for either a short or long stay. Olga was great at communicating. Steps down to the property are steep but doable with care. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great whilst we were there but under cover outside seating area and table helped with this. Would recommend 👍

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. It was all very clean and cozy. Monica was very friendly, hospitable and helpful. She gave us great tips for excursions in the area and was always available when we needed something. The house is very cozy and the view from the garden and the balcony is fantastically beautiful. We really enjoyed our vacation and would be happy to come back.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this accommodation for the second time. It was a wonderful holiday again. It is a haven of peace in a beautiful and quiet place. You feel at home very quickly. Everything is quickly accessible on foot, by public transport or with your own vehicle. Many opportunities for walks, visits and hikes are easily accessible. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the unbeatable location of this home. Being directly on the lake, the views are nothing short of magical. Waking up in the morning and looking out over the water from the bedroom felt like something out of a dream — peaceful, serene, and impossibly beautiful. The lake was quite literally at our doorstep. The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and full of charm. Every little detail was taken care of, and we felt instantly at ease. A special shoutout to our host, who went above and beyond when we realized last minute that we had forgotten to include our mother-in-law as a guest. It was entirely our oversight, and yet the host was kind, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. That kind of graciousness makes all the difference when you’re traveling. We can’t say enough good things about this place — the comfort, the views, the hospitality. If you’re lucky enough to find availability here, book it. Can’t wait to return

The place is beautiful and very well located. You have a fantastic view of the lake and some hiking opportunities in the area. The apartment is about 10 minutes' drive from Colico and it is super quiet. The pool and pool loungers are also great.

The house has a fantastic location between the vineyards of Brissago. The architecture, the interior and the rooms are very beautiful and we liked them very much - we love puristic design. Many details in the house and around it make the house something very special. When you sit on the terrace in the evening, grill, the grills chirp and you look at the lake with a glass of wine - then this atmosphere is something unique - which you cannot buy. Eva - the house fairy - is super friendly and helpful and gave us many tips. Mille Grazie for the wonderful stay at Casa Largo. We will be happy to come back!

Despite bad weather, we spent a very relaxed week in this very idyllically located cozy house. The house is carefully renovated and tastefully furnished. The location is unique: all alone on a clearing in the forest. We will be happy to come back.

Incredible views. Highly recommend renting a scooter to make commute up and down the hill much easier. 10/10 would stay here again.

Beautiful stay with an amazing view!

We had the pleasure of spending a few unforgettable days at Katie’s beautiful apartment in Ronco sopra Ascona. The view is absolutely breathtaking – Lake Maggiore stretches out at your feet, with Ascona and the Brissago Island in full view, framed by the surrounding mountains. The long hours of sunshine on the spacious terrace were a true highlight. The apartment is nice furnished, very well maintained, and offers plenty of space with its three bedrooms – ideal for families or small groups. Everything was clean and perfectly prepared – you can tell Katie is a thoughtful and caring host. The location is peaceful, yet just a short drive from Ascona and the lake. The combination of privacy, stunning views, and comfort makes this place a real gem. We’d love to come back – thank you, Katie!

Everything was perfect!! The apartment was spacious, well furnished and so comfortable!! Kitchen was well stocked with premier utensils. The location was great to explore the waterfront and beautiful surroundings. We parked in the 30 minute lot at the head of the street to load and unload. The parking pass that he provided for us was a key benefit. We would highly recommend Stefano’s apartment and would surely stay there again.

What an incredible stay! Michele’s place has everything you need to feel at home, all in an amazing location. There are enough amenities nearby such as the convenience store and 2 restaurants/bars, along with bus stops and even the dock for ferries across the lake. 4 nights didn’t feel enough and we left with such a heavy heart. Laura’s place is breathtaking and pictures don’t do it any justice. We were so sad to leave the tranquil and peaceful villa. I’ve never stayed anywhere like this and look forward to going back.

You can hear the water when falling asleep, the town feels „real“ not too many tourists and the balcony is a highlight. We loved staying in this place/area.

Four of us stayed here for only a couple days and were incredibly impressed by the spectacular view of the lake and the surroundings. It looked like out of a travel magazine. The unit itself was quite nice with total upgrades everywhere which were in top condition. If you are driving yourself up the hill to the home be prepared for some fun driving adventures on twisting turning curves that are somewhat narrow. We always had a driver. We could see that it takes some experience to get good at it.

It was just perfect! The view is breathtaking, the amenities were incredibly good and everything was super clean. Everything is neat and perfectly prepared. You can feel the love of the host in every detail. We highly recommend this place and would be happy to come back! Thank you for everything.

This is a beautiful apartment in a prime location that has a parking spot, but you don't need a car. The apartment is a very short walk to the lake ferry service, the town square and a C10 bus stop. You can walk to Menaggio Piazza Roma Bus station in under 10 minutes if you want to take the bus to Lugano, Switzerland. The apartment is beautiful, with historic decor and modern conveniences and a lovely terrace. You can hear some street noises, but the apartment is very private. Roxana is very easy to communicate with. Thank you Roxana! We enjoyed our stay!

My only regret is that we can’t give 6 stars on the evaluation and that since we want to come back it hurts me to advertise it to others!! Frankly, a part from the place which is a little jewel, the calmness of the surroundings, the spectacular lake Como, what we appreciated the most is the kindness and proactivity of our hosts. They truly embody the ideal concept of what Airbnb should always be. Thanks to the whole family

Wonderful private and gorgeous retreat high up on the hillside. RENT A CAR. We did, but only last minute and initially had planned to uber to and from the Airbnb both for arrival and departure as well as just day trips; this would have been a mistake, it is 12-14 minutes up the hill from the town. If you have a rental car and are comfortable driving up steep roads, it is a fun adventure and the views make it well worth the trek. The space itself is second to none. Gorgeous pool with million dollar views, several levels of terraces with sun chairs, outdoor eating areas, and the home itself is inviting and comfortable.

Beautiful and nature-filled haven in Porto Ceresio surmounting Lago Lugano and surrounded by greens and mountains. The house is thoughtfully designed, comfortable and cozy. Our host Marco is friendly, professional, proactive and always willing to help on everything we need. It’s a perfect place for family and friends to make wonderful moments and memories. Highly recommended.
