We were so pleased to have found Maria’s annexe it was perfect, absolutely spotless everything we needed was there totally perfect and they were both a lovely couple, we’d definitely stay there again and recommend here to anyone else .

Lovely little gem hidden away in Essex countryside

Thank you Sean for all the great stays we have had - we have become very fond of this cosy apartment overlooking the pier, with great views in every direction and a brilliant collection of local artwork.

Lovely self contained home from home accomodation. Spacious and airy with everything you could need. Quiet and peaceful location with an outside seating area to enjoy too. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be booking again when we visit family in the area. Next time we will probably go on one of the lovely local walks too.

This house is in an unparalleled location, right on the seawall. It was quiet, had everything you could need and looked jist like the photos. Mark provided excellent instructions and there were even little videos on how to use the appliances if you got stuck. The house is on the edge of West Mersea but under 5 minutes from 2 pubs, a pizza place and seafood cafes. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the high street. It was a lovely place to stay. I will be back!

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at this beautifully appointed property. The interiors are high spec throughout with exceptional attention to detail. The bedding and towels were the best linen we’ve experienced in an Airbnb. The shower pressure was awesome, which made getting ready each day a pleasure. It was the perfect base for attending a wedding at Gosfield Hall, just a short drive or a 25 minute walk away. The garden is immaculate and the outdoor seating area was ideal for enjoying the sunshine and countryside views. I would have happily moved in permanently. Highly recommended for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

What a fabulous stay My family have just had at Lance's lodge. Beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and the view of the lakes was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable both the en suites were huge! perfectly situated on the quieter side of the site and still only a 5 minute walk to the club house and shop. Debbie the caretaker was excellent. She was very helpful and clearly works very hard to maintain the lodge to such a high standard. We will definitely be looking to come back Asap.

Have to do it again because I was too relaxed and just laid about. Was cold outside which was a shame but next time summer time!

Very clean, bedding and towels smelled great. Hot tub was very relaxing, nice farmland surroundings and would recommend shoes/boots that can withstand the mud!
