Monthly Rentals in Chillingham

We had a lovely stay at Rose cottage with our children and dog, and we thought this was excellent value for a week during the school half-term holidays. The cottage is homely and very well equipped -kitchen utensils, crockery, pans etc all good quality, plus a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding was all crisp white, new pillows and white towels. The bathroom is clean and white and has an electric power shower. The fenced garden is a lovely sheltered sun trap with plenty of seating (comfy chairs as well as the picnic table in listing photos) with a nicely maintained lawn. Jamie was an excellent host, friendly and approachable, gave us some excellent tips including Embers pizza in Embleton. The welcome package was perfect- including delicious fresh bread from the Embleton village farm shop. Worth noting the cottage is one of three- this would be perfect for multiple families travelling together but each wanting their own space.

wonderful stay. So peaceful and tranquil. Our son was absolutely enchanted by the beautiful garden and horses in the next door field. Fliss and Tim were a charming couple and very welcoming.

Max was a gem. He was very helpful and answered text messages to questions almost immediately. He gave suggestions, but this guard house was amazing! We loved it and would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay, really peaceful yet easy to reach the places we wanted to see, but definitely need a car for this. Ian and Felicity were really helpful with local knowledge and the accommodation had a lot of information about where to visit. Really happy to recommend this, was anything lacking? Definitely not.
