Holiday rentals with a pool in Chef-Boutonne

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

We were very well received by Frederik and Ton! (and their Beagles!) Their house is very beautiful, with charm and very well equipped, comfortable bedding. The garden is huge! Our only regret: not staying longer! :-) Blandine and Ronan

We really enjoyed our stay at Turea's place. The area is very quiet, perfect for taking peaceful walks. In the evening, you can relax by enjoying the indoor pool and billiards

This is the second time we have spent a quiet moment in this little haven of peace and we will definitely come back!

Fab place. We loved the use of the kayaks, and the pool was great. Very comfy beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Only a 6 mins drive to a hypermarket and very quiet roads . Tony was very helpful and friendly. We would come again. Thoroughly recommend.

The cottage is superb, with its old stones full of charm, set in the middle of a green setting, not to mention its swimming pool and its "guinguette" which allow you to enjoy real moments of conviviality with peace of mind. We had a lovely stay there. David is very friendly and available for any information. Don't miss!

Attentive and flexible host on schedules, good value for money.

This was our first rental on the platform and we are very pleased with the services offered. The host was very responsive to all requests. We stayed there following a visit to FUTUROSCOPE, which is about fifteen minutes away. Perfect, no complaints

Very welcoming and proactive host. We spent a night there during a weekend at Futuroscope, the apartment is only a dozen minutes from the park. The terrace, very well oriented, is perfect for a quiet breakfast 😀 I would highly recommend it Thank you Romain

Beautiful house with character, very quiet and soothing. Very spacious and well equipped. Beautiful kitchen that makes you want to spend time there. The pool is the highlight! Unfortunately the area is really poor from the point of view of activities, not much to visit... We are far from everything (bread, shopping, market...) Perfect house if you want to rest and do nothing.

Just returned from a great stay, Christophe the key holder and owner was lovely and helpful with any questions we had and kindly dropped off some eggs that his chickens had laid which were very tasty. The house has a wealth of family history itself and the things displayed across the house show these off and the information in the house guide explain some of these items and the link to the family. It's a beautiful house and stays cool in the warm weather too (keep the shutters closed in the day to help this). The pool is beautiful and the house amenities catered for all our needs. It's also a great location to get to without a car as the train station is a short walk away and goes direct to Poitiers and La Rochelle. We had a lovely time and a really relaxing week 😊
