You can walk the 800m to the ski lifts, drive, or take the free shuttle bus that stops 100m away. It's a 2 minute walk to a lovely restaurant, and 10-15 mins to the middle of the village Les Contamines is a charming village with fantastic skiing. There's 120km of pistes and great off-piste. Its snow record is the best in Chamonix valley.
