Guesthouse holiday rentals in Central Bedfordshire

Unfortunately, my stay was less than 24 hours as I was in the area for a friends event but the accommodation was good and had everything I needed. It was clean and well equipped. Sandra was a friendly and responsive host. The village is very pretty with a very inviting looking pub! I wish I could have stayed longer.

Lo chalet di Thelma è immerso in un fantastico giardino fiorito, pulito e ordinato. All'interno la cura e l'attenzione in ogni stanza ad ogni singolo dettaglio fa la differenza. Thelma è stata molto gentile e attiva, pronta a rispondere ad ogni domanda. È stato un bellissimo soggiorno e ci torneremo sicuramente. Altamente consigliato!

Lo que más nos gustó ha sido a ubicación de la casa, en plena campiña inglesa. Sitio muy tranquilo y de maravillosa naturaleza. La casa era acogedora. Suzanne ha sido muy amable y muy comunicativa.

We had a very relaxing stay, whilst there was a variety of restaurants nearby and beautiful scenery we chose to stay in most of the time in the cosy loft. A great nook to binge movies and play games with friends by the fire. Lovely hosts and pictures provided of the propery are very accurate. 100% recommend for a chill weekend and 100% stay again.

Tony and Ruth reported that the place was lovely and a great place to stop over on their way to London. They enjoyed a Chonese take-away from nearby.

Lovely faultless experience. Spotlessly clean, comfortable furniture. Big TV, well equipped kitchen. Loaf of bread, milk, butter and jams provided and even a box of After Eights. Sadly I had brought everything as I didn’t expect these to be provided but a lovely touch. Off street parking in a quiet sleepy village. Can highly recommend.

Brilliant location, homely feel and a host that couldn’t have provided for us. From a complimentary breakfast selection of pasty’s, eggs and cereals to a written booklet of places to eat / drink / party in the evening only in a less then 10 minute taxi drive away. Beautiful surrounding scenery with friendly local pubs… Can’t recommend enough.

Lovely flat! Looks exactly like in the photos. And the host was very helpful. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This is our 4th time staying at Lawrence. Such a great place. Will come back!!

Stayed at Fiona’s annex for a weekend in Cambridge for my mums birthday. It was perfect for what we needed and easy to get to the city centre- we used the park and ride. Fiona was very responsive to our queries and an excellent host. Would definitely book again if needing somewhere in Cambridge!

We had a great stay for the weekend! Claire was very welcoming & had stocked the fridge for us which was hugely appreciated after a long drive. There was even homemade cake which was delicious! The property was clean & the bed(s) were comfortable. The cottage is lovely & peaceful, and the public footpaths around the woods next door were stunning…bluebells everywhere! The property was perfect for what we needed. Thanks for having us!

Another great stay at the Bake House

lovely little spot in a quiet location I was staying for work, so everything met my required needs. Was a little cold at night (march), until I figured out how to use the heater, then the place was very cosy.

This was such a lovely stay, I see why so many people have given it a really high rating. The space is very private and peaceful perfect for relaxing or getting work done and the hosts are an absolute dream. It's a very cute neighborhood with many walkable restaurants and easy access to the tube.

Great place for me had everything listed and Leor was great. Alway there to help but that wasn't required as everything was working fine.

Really beautiful place in a very pretty village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Erica was incredibly helpful throughout.

Christina’s place is a great place to stay, the bed is really comfy and bathroom is lovely and was all super clean. Also never stayed at any Airbnb with such a generous offering of confectionary and breakfast options. Thank you!

Geraldine’s place was perfect. Lovely and cozy bed was super comfy and the village had everything you need. I was actually gutted that I arrived after eating as there seems to be a lot of choice for food with the three pubs in the village. Geraldine is very friendly and unapproachable, not that I needed it but I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. I would happily book to stay here again. I would recommend it.

Had a fantastic stay at Chloe’s apartment. It was exactly like the photos, and had nice welcoming touches with tea / coffee and some biscuits. Great value for money, and the area was really peaceful. The fact the driveway is gated, it felt really safe and I didn’t have to worry about my car. The bed is comfortable, yet firm, so if you have any back issues I found it was a really good night’s sleep and no back pain. The shower is really big too, with a choice of rainfall or normal shower head. In all honesty, it was a little further out of London than I thought, that’s my fault though and no reflection on the listing at all. Just be aware if you are booking with the intention of going into London, I think it was approx an hour to get to Tottenham Court Road from Gerrard’s Cross, and if there are any engineering works (like this weekend), you’re looking around 90 mins to get into London with various tube or trains.

Contacted Mark to ask about dinner at the local pub on our first night as we were concerned about getting there on time with our journey time. He very kindly went into the pub and arranged a booking for us with a 30 minute arrival time (in case of delays). He was there to meet us and showed us round and was extremely helpful and friendly . Although we only stayed overnight to break up a long journey, he made us feel very welcome and I would always recommend his place to anyone.

Karen's place is a perfect hideaway. Comfortable bed with quality bedding (cotton duvet/ down comforter & pillows). Quiet at night, window opens to allow a fresh breeze, birds singing in the morning!

This was our second stay at Angie and Steve’s gem of a cottage. It was just as good as our first stay. Everything is in tip top working order and the thoughtful touches from the host were appreciated. Will be back to stay again when visiting the Cambridge area.
