Sunrise Cottage

DevinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Cedar Key has been heavily affected by the recent hurricanes, however this home was clean, tidy, and a good spot to stay. The homes around this specific home were very damaged. It’s sad to see what has happened to the good community of cedar key. However, with that being said, this stay was a great place to get away. To support the community, it would be easy for you to stay here and do much for t recovery of this special town. Thanks again for the stay!

Absolutely loved this spot, the pictures don’t do justice. Beautiful town, accessible to amazing places - with the golf cart, it’s easy to get to some of the parks and various shorelines for fishing. Can’t wait to come back!

Spacious Home with Water Views

AmyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Ashley’s house was lovely! Great natural light. Cool bead board paneling. Very cool wood porch. The artist in me just loved it. The layout in interesting. I imagine it was added onto once or twice. There are two upstairs bedrooms. If you’re up in one bedroom you have to go downstairs and then back up another set of stairs to get to the other bedroom. The back porch really has a great view and we did watch the sunrise there most days. Cemetery Point Park was a nice walk. The beach there was pretty brackish though and we only swam in it once. The public beach was a short drive and we went there most days. It has a playground right on the beach which was AWESOME for our kids. We also got to see hundreds of horse shoe crabs on that beach. (Strange critters but harmless.) There are shells or something on the bottom that are easy to scrape your feet on. Also, if you walk out much deeper than your knees the bottom is squishy mud. Probably normal for beaches in this part of Florida.
