Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cassowary

Our accommodation was absolutely amazing. Truly the description and photos do not really reflect the quality of the home.Of all the Airbnb’s we have stayed in over a thirty year period this would have to have been the most amazing. Of particular note was the communication and support that we received. We experienced a problem with the barbecue supplied and within minutes of reporting the issue we received a sincere apology with a technician to resolve the problem immediately. Never have we experienced this level of customer support and quality service.I can only recommend this location. The home is fantastic and the level of customer service is beyond amazing!A massive thank you to the team!

What an amazing place, we had such a fun time! The views are amazing, lovely plunge pool to cool off when it got hot overlooking the rainforest. Pool table and darts to keep us all entertained in the evening. Enough hammocks, swing chairs and couches for everyone to find a spot to relax. Plenty of wildlife about, lots of new critters us Melbournians had never seen before, our 7 year old loved it! We went and explored a few things while we were here but we could have honestly just as easily spent the entire time just enjoying ourselves at the property. Absolutely a little slice of paradise Dean has created, also props to him for his communication and making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.

Another brilliant stay at peaceful Coral Tides. This is our third and we live the accomodation so much. Everything is perfect including the setting, comfort snd presentation. The pool is a special bonus and hosts so welcoming. Thank you!

Thank you for an unforgettable stay, Jillian! Seascapes was such a peaceful place to be and my partner and I felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. I really appreciated all the little touches of home that you have made throughout the house. I had the best sleep of my life with the fresh air and soothing sounds of the rainforest, and it was just lovely to feel so isolated yet a short drive from some great attractions in the Daintree. Also, I need to buy myself a hammock now! I could have stayed in that hammock on the verandah with the ocean view for days on end haha. Thank you again for providing a welcome escape to nature.

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is fantastic, close to everything. The house is very child friendly, it was great for our toddler.

We had the best stay! The place is perfect for families, providing space to be together and to have your own peace and quiet. The surroundings are lush and the pool area was beautiful, we didn’t want to leave.

A short walk from the local hot spots. A view from the backyard that will make you want to stay forever. Had a wonderful stay in Port Douglas. Accommodation is in prime location; 2 minutes walk to the beach and at the eastern end of the main eating and shopping strip in town. Very friendly and helpful welcome and assistance from the staff. Spotless apartment had everything we needed; very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything extra. Very happy to have a laundry available; can travel lighter when you can wash some clothes! Nice to have a pool to dip in, and pool lounges to relax on during hot afternoons, listening to the local bird life bouncing around in the lovely tropical garden surrounding the apartments. Barbeques were very clean and situated in a lovely courtyard, but we ate out at a different place every night and didn’t get time to use them. Next time! Would happily stay again, and recommend to friends.

A perfectly positioned, well furnished apartment for our getaway to Port Douglas. This apartment is situated right at the top end of town and sits amongst all the restaurants and is near all the activities on offer - parks, walks, wharf, shops, etc. The apartment has all the essentials needed and has a beautiful outlook over Anzac Park across the water and onto the Coastal mountains. Caroline welcomed us on arrival and kindly explained all the amenities etc. We would highly recommend staying here for your visit.

Lovely stay at hibiscus resort. Great location for a holiday as it is very close to shops, restaurants and activities. Peter was very responsive as well.

Great communication and flexible host. Location was great, beach front and just 25min from Cairns. Aircon and bed were good and the place was clean. My only recommendation would be not to have breakfast at the hotel, but somewhere else (not under the host control anyway)

Perfect stay! Great location! Check in was flexible which we were so grateful for as we had a red eye flight. Courtney was also proactive in letting us know about road closures in the area. Would stay here again😊

Un angolo di paradiso al mare! L’appartamento ci ha conquistati dal primo istante: arredato con gusto e amore, pulitissimo e incredibilmente accogliente. Ogni dettaglio è pensato per far sentire gli ospiti a casa, con un’atmosfera calda e rilassante. Si percepisce la cura e la passione di chi lo ha preparato. Fondamentale sono stati Sofia e Peter: gentilissimi, disponibili e pieni di attenzioni, ci hanno fornito tantissime indicazioni utili su ristoranti, negozi, spiagge e attrazioni della zona. È stato un rifugio perfetto dove staccare la spina e godersi il mare in totale comfort.

I had a wonderful stay at Andrea’s apartment at 201 Lake Street, Cairns. The place was clean, well-furnished, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing visit. It had everything I needed for a great stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom. The building also had a pool and secure parking, which were great bonuses. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Esplanade, restaurants, shops, and the marina. Andrea was very easy to deal with—friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the booking and stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.

A wonderful location, close to central Port Douglas. The apartment and pool area were exemplary and a beautiful environment to relax in. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in at an Air B&B. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay inside a good resort. Bec’s place was everything we expected, quiet room and location, good space, spa was great and shower had pressure like you never see. Would be back again no worries !

Andrew’s apartment is amazing, and a great find. It is furnished modern and extremely clean, and has lots thoughtful extras in the kitchen and bathrooms. Any communications we had with Andrew were responded by him promptly. The location is quiet, yet very close to amenities. We would highly recommend this property, and certainly will look to rebook when we are back in Cairns.

We stayed at the Resort for 6 months. During that time, we always felt comfortable and safe. Sandy and Isabell went out of their way to ensure that we were well looked after; for example, the fridge started playing up and was replaced immediately with a brand new one. The same happened with the washing machine and it too was immediately replaced with a brand-new model. Any queries we had were responded to immediately via the Airbnb message function and Isabell was kind enough to provide her personal mobile number to ensure easy and fast communications. The Resort is beautiful and has well-tended gardens and landscaping and numerous swimming pools. It was also very quiet and peaceful. :) The location of the Resort was ideal for us being close to the airport and a short drive to the CBD. It is also very close to the Botanic Gardens and the Cairns Esplanade. We would not hesitate to recommend the Resort as a beautiful location and Sandy & Isabell as perfect hosts.
