Holiday rentals with lake access in Cascais

I stayed in Alcochete for 6 weeks and both the house and area exceeded expectations (which were high to begin with). The town is a treasure, being both delightful and close to Lisbon (30 minutes by bus). The house is perfect for one or two people (maybe more). and has a good internet connection for working. The agent Vitoria was responsive and helpful (albeit unable to fix a nationwide power outage!) Highly recommended.

We spent a magnificent week at 'Casa da Foz' with our family. We had a warm welcome by Jorge who was also very helpful and responsive. The house and surroundings are magnificent. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The house is beautiful, everything works perfectly well. We had only one problem, on the last day the hot water failed and it did not return until we left. Unfortunately on this day the host did not respond promptly as usual and the solution presented did not work. However, I considered this problem to be something punctual, since the house was wonderful and everything worked very well. So I think it was an isolated situation and I didn't let it influence mew review in general. I recommend the house and would return peacefully. Everything was very well presented, the house is modern, super clean, excellent bathroom, perfect shower, my passengers loved it.

Very functional accommodation, we have enough space in the living room to move around. Please note, the ceiling is quite low (I would say 1m80 no more), this accommodation is not suitable for tall people. Carla is adorable, always available and responsive whether through Airbnb or by message. She gives us clear and precise instructions with videos to make it easier. The bedding is comfortable and the accommodation clean overall (if I want to be picky, I would say that the cleaning deserves to be done a little more in the bathroom). As for the neighborhood, it is quite quiet because the accommodation is in a small courtyard. Please note that the Alfama district is very steep and has a lot of stairs, so it is quite a climb. To access the accommodation, there are about thirty sloping steps to climb, it is doable by taking your time. I had a pleasant stay at Carla's and recommend you to stay there as well.

Jaques' apartment is just like the photos, everything is new and you don't lack anything... Jaques left some gifts and we saw him at our entrance, apart from the fact that you don't lack anything. She left salt, oil, sugar, basic items that, many times, in other apartments they don't leave you anything! The apartment was super clean, the bed is very comfortable, the location is very quiet... for those of you who want to rest, it's the right apartment. To go to Lisbon, we went by car and parked there, so we can't comment on the ferry or bus that takes you to Lisbon... we liked it a lot, we hope to repeat! :)

I cannot express how lovely Antonio and Maria are! They were so accommodating to our late flight. They gave us a warm welcome. When we arrived, they directed us to a restaurant because we were all so hungry and hadn’t eaten due to getting in late. The place was beautiful and fully equipped. It had everything!! They left toys for my kids. There was plenty of space for my family and I! The surroundings were gorgeous and the beach that was a 2 minute drive was stunning. Maria and Antonio came to fix the dishwasher when it wasn’t working and they went above and beyond for me. I would absolutely stay here again. And it wasn’t far from Lisbon or Sesimbra (which was also gorgeous). Thank you for such a wonderful stay and being so accommodating xxxx

Anthony's accomodation was extremely beautiful and spacious. For everyone of us privacy is extremely important and we had it there all the time. House was clean and marvellous. Swimming pools was great. Anthony was a great host and was answering our questions very quickly. We would strongly reccomend this place to individuals or families and friends who want to relax and have a lovely time.

We had a great stay at Patrick's villa. Communication was excellent; he responded quickly to any queries, even printing off Latin revision homework for our granddaughter and dropping it at the house, which she really appreciated. As a mixed generations group it worked perfectly as a house, with 2 suites downstairs and 2 upstairs, all with full bathrooms. At night shutters could be lowered automatically which gave added security when travelling with 2 little girls and also ensured a good night's sleep without early morning sun waking us. Air conditioning was good with individual controls The kitchen was well equipped, everything provided. The pool was lovely, a good size and pleasantly warm, although as a minor point softer sunbeds would be a bonus. We made full use of the table tennis and pool tables, as well as using the bbq which is at the rear of the garden. The beaches are vast, a very peaceful area without the commercialism of the Algarve. Sofia is the best host I have ever had! So kind, helpful, flexible, and accommodating! The location is perfect, within steps from the water, but quiet and private. The entire flat is cool, comfortable, and cozy. I loved it! I will come back!

Great place to stay. The instructions were very clear and it was an easy check in, check out process. Definitely recommended

The appartement and the room looked exactly how it was in the pictures. The room was very lovely especially with the little balcony. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very quick to respond if there was anything. The location was fine, but the downside is that you have to take the public transport everyday to go to the city cause there is nothing in Amadora. Overall i would recommend this place and i think it’s worth what you pay for.

A cosy place in an amazing location! It took us 2 minutes walk to get to the beach, 15 min by train to get to the heart of Lisbon,direct line to Cascais too. And we were surprised to also find a hiking trail right next to the house, which leads to an astonishing view point. Ana was a great host too, very accommodating and a lovely person! The only bad thing...we had a too short stay for such a great place :)

Excellent accommodation. Always friendly and everything matches the description. I highly recommend it and will be back when possible.

Super clean and close to everything

Amazing place. Looks exactly like the pictures. The host was very friendly and supportive. Totally worth it.

Great stay. Attentive and helpful host. Spotless. The common areas were cleaned and tidied daily. Public transport is close by. Less than 5 minutes to the bus and train (Comboios) boarding point with connection to the metro lines. Facilities in kitchen, bathroom and room are fine.
