House holiday rentals in Carlisle

House was very remote, but there was a small store about 10 min away for essentials. We planned our meals, shopping and excursions in advance, so we really didn't need to make any special trips. House was huge and had everything we could of needed. The Co-Host reached out to us a couple of times about mowing and opening the pool, making sure we were OK with it. We had a beautiful rainbow 🌈 to admire and the serenity of the home was exactly what we needed to reset. On the last night our Co-Host brought us a homemade Strawberry pie. I highly recommend this rental for anybody looking to sit back, relax and enjoy the quietness of the area.

This BnB is in contention for my FAVORITE stay of all time. Family of 6 adults and 1 child had more than enough space, and Jeanne really made our stay effortless. We felt right at home and we didn't have to make that last minute trip to the store you sometimes have to make bc the host skimped on providing toilet paper or dish soap, because she honestly thought of EVERYTHING ❤️ My granddaughter loved the pool and dips in the hot tub after swimsmade the adults happy. The location and view are to die for, and the two pups were ecstatic playing in the large fenced area. We spent a lot of time outside, plenty of furniture, fire pit, just eating dinner on the deck. (Missing NOTHING in the kitchen either!) Our last night we spent sitting and talking on the deck trying to identify the multitude of frog voices from the pond, before we parted ways to our various home states. I am most grateful for memories made and we are definitely considering a repeat! ❤️Thank you!

We were in the area for a FORD car show in Carlisle and the location was great. Very peaceful. Be sure to check out the King's Bakery there nearby.

We really enjoyed the stay at your farm house while we attended the Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College. The place was clean and comfortable. The hosts were always quick in replying. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks again for everything!

The Red Door Retreat was awesome!! The place was clean and beautiful. There is so many things to do without leaving the house. My dog loved it too :) I will definitely be back.

Very peaceful. Nice views. Plenty to see and do here. The pool was refreshing and private. Tim and Sharon work hard and it shows! Beautiful landscaping. We enjoyed our stay. If you enjoy a camp fire Tim’s spruced up fire pit was very relaxing..

Used this as a getting ready space for myself and my groomsman. The house and property and beautiful and clean. All instructions were simple and clear. The host was responsive and helpful for any needs. Highly recommended.

I've stayed at this house before and it is great. It's very walkable to all the town restaurants and activities. There is plenty of street parking available right in front of the house. The listing and pictures are as the house described. The host is very proactive and responsive. I won't make this review as long as my first but as a follow up with the addition a air conditions upstairs this is easily a 5 star stay. I will continue to stay here every time I visit Carlisle.

Very enjoyable stay for my wife and I. Location could not have been better. The home was beautiful and as advertised. Communication with Stephen was quick and easy. Only issue was trying to find the non existent garage door opener. Stephen solved that with a quick message. As an aside, the city of Carlisle need to explore restricting the amount and hours that trucks are allowed to rumble through town.

This place is quaint and quiet! Perfect spot for a quiet getaway, yet close to everything (15-20minutes) we absolutely LOVED the trail following the river leading to a beautiful covered bridge! Beautiful area!

Our family loved this quiet neighborhood, and the hosts were exceptional!! Marty and Lucy were so kind, proactive, thoughtful and accommodating! This home was cozy and the beds were a dream!

We chose Phil’s place because it is in close proximity to the apartment our son rented while he attended Army War College. We were able to walk to coffee shops, good restaurants, and downtown shopping in Carlisle. Phil’ place was exactly as advertised. It was very comfortable for 2 couples for a long weekend stay. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc. The listing does mention that both bedrooms and the bathroom is upstairs. This was not a problem for us but would be important to note if anyone has issues with steps.

This was our second time staying here. We came to town to watch our daughter compete at states for track. The house was a perfect location and had everything we needed!! We felt right at home!! Hopefully we will be back next year!

Fantastic property, fantastic hosts. A+. So many amenities, nothing was overlooked. Very clean and orderly. Loved the layout. Screened in porch was perfect, patio, hot tub, use of kayaks, freshly baked bread, entire interior was awesome. I’m telling you, nothing was overlooked in making our stay so memorable. Thinking about booking? Do it now. You won’t regret it. This can’t be beat.

Great space for 2 families with kids. We didn’t realize how lovely was the garden until we got there. The stream of water was a real perk! The double bunk bed for the kids was a great set-up but squeaky and unstable, not suitable for adults. Overall a great stay!

Terri's place was even nicer than described or pictured in her listing. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the property inside and out. Terri provided clear instructions for everything. She even had doggie treats for our fur baby. The garment steamer certainly came in handy to ensure that our clothing was wrinkle-free for a family rehearsal dinner in Hershey and wedding at the Historic King Mansion in Harrisburg. We have no hesitation recommending Terri's place to anyone looking for a very comfortable, clean, roomy home in which to stay. Terri has thought of everything you need for a pleasant stay in Dillsburg. Thank you, Terri, for being such a great host!

The House was peaceful with Beautiful surroundings. It was clean and felt safe. The Host(s) were absolutely the Best. They quickly responded to every question I had. Pictures and description of the house are exactly as stated.

Stunning house & property! The pictures do it no justice. House was clean & comfortable, and grounds were beyond words! Hosts were very responsive. We had a busy schedule while there, and couldn't enjoy most of the amenities inside and outside of the home, but would love to visit for much longer next time. I could stay here for 2 weeks, on the property, and not get tired of it. Great location, as well. It was very private and tranquil, but within 20 minutes of any type of restaurant or store, big or small. We had an amazing stay! Thank you!

Beautiful peaceful property with lots of room to walk large dogs. Plenty of space to set up our two large dog kennels (we travel with as it helps keep the dogs feeling safe wherever we go). Dylan is a fantastic host with excellent recommendations for local restaurants posted on the fridge. Well worth the stay if you enjoy nature in a peaceful environment highly recommend.

Perfectly immaculate, peaceful setting, well furnished. Two things I'd caution is that the beds in the room we stayed were pretty firm. If you don't like a firm mattress, it may not be a good fit. Secondly since this is a beautifully redone old home, it does have low ceilings, maybe 7'. Our oldest is 6'4" and had only a few inches of clearance. If you're average height, these things don't usually come to mind. We had such a lovely stay and would stay again! Grilled on the back porch, went on a walk back to the river on the marked path and then enjoyed the nice cool house!
