Sunhouse is an unexpected gem on the Tasman Peninsula, located just 15 minutes from Port Arthur. Nestled between the trees and the ocean but near town, a place to enjoy the simple pleasures of life and nature. Meandering days can be spent wandering the coves and beaches, playing cards, drinking cups of tea or simply soaking up the sun with a good book. Come evening, pick produce from the garden and sip a wine in front of the fire. A place to slow down and enjoy what Tasmania has to offer.
“Amazing place to stay to get a way from the world for a bit! We were 2 teenage girls who just finished the overland track and caught the only bus to nubeena from Hobart (there is one a day). We got around quite easily by hitchhiking with some lovely travellers (we did the cape Raoul walking track with a lovely couple who picked us up and they even dropped us back right outside the front door of sunhouse). Very beautifully curated interior and loved having a bath under the stars. There is even fruit and herbs to pick from garden! Can’t recommend enough!!”
Stewarts Bay Beach House is a unique retreat at one of Tasmania's most beautiful beaches. The house sits right on the beach only a 15 min coastal walk to the Port Arthur Historic Site. New building with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
“We had a great few nights, the weather was horrible with nonstop rain but despite that we had a fantastic stay, with foxtel and netflix on the tv, board games and books, we had plenty to keep ourselves occupied. The kitchen has every utensil and pot you could imagine and the waves from the beach put us to sleep at night. The spa bath in the master bedroom was also amazing. The place has so much potential for anyone who stays with better weather than what we got!”

It is ideal for couples and solo adventurers for one night or more. Perfect for star-gazers.
“Amazing cabin near historic site Port Arthur! It's a huge cabin, with a fully equipped BBQ, and even pots and a small gas stove are provided. Inside the cabin there is enough space for the couch and TV with DVDs. The bathroom is clean and modern. We had everything we needed in this nice and lovely accomondation, which was the best on our 6 weeks Australia trip! Kathi is a great host easy to communicate with. We just can recommend to book a stay in Kathi's cabin.”
