Just fabulous. A beautiful location, perched on a hillside overlooking a rural Portuguese valley. Lovely house. Ingenious heating system, and lovely, friendly owners! We will be coming back next year and I’m hoping David’s house is still available.

Absolutely stunning space. All the outdoor terrain is beautifully cared for and gives us the feeling of total privacy, of being in another dimension. It's beautiful. Wonderful swimming pool. The house is also extremely comfortable, with all amenities needed. Nothing to point out wrong.

An amazing house for family vacations! The house is very well equipped and very spacious with a large swimming pool to enjoy the sun. Isabelle was very responsive and pleasant during our stay. I totally recommend it!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa da Arosa. The house is stunning with such beautiful interiors. There are several dining-rooms and sitting areas and a lovely patio that we enjoyed using in the evenings. Ana kindly provided charcoal for BBQs and the sizeable pool and loungers were put to good use. Ana is a very considerate and helpful host who made check-in and out easy and can recommend good places to eat. There isn’t too much to do on your doorstep but we knew that and were happy to drive to the river for kayaking and excursions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

The house was spectacular, with all the amenities! In addition, it has many activities to do, such as billiards, piano and board games. We want to go back in the summer to enjoy the pool. The house was close to the center a few minutes drive away. However, we had the ideal privacy. Maria Lucas was always very helpful and left some miminhos...and fresh bread in the morning :) 5 star stay, and highly recommend it! We'll be back!

Beautiful private home located at the top of a small hill that overlooks the church and city centre below. We really enjoyed our stay with the lovely surrounding views and the garden. The only downside was the church bells ringing every hour, throughout into the night which affected our sleep. But we bought some ear plugs and was able to get over the sound. Would definitely recommend this place for a cozy stay.

I loved the cottage; it was quaint, clean and private with lots of friendly cats who welcomed us. The only real issue I had was the bed was very hard. Maybe a mattress topper? Marie is outstanding as a hostess.

Very warm hosting. Small welcome gift. The views are beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and beautiful terrace. We had a lovely stay. Recommended.

I've stayed in many places around the world, but Conceição has been the best host to date, very friendly and helpful. The house is very well taken care of, and we feel totally welcome.

José is an outstanding host, welcoming, helpful and very kind. the apartment is very well arranged, comfortable and with all the amenities you need to have a good holiday. The bedding is extremely comfortable which is nice after long days of hiking. the large terrace is a big plus. thank you José for offering such a comfortable place

Everything was great!

Very nice place to spend a few days with the family. Highly recommended for those with young children. The house was spotless and the outdoor garden is great for spending some quality time. Mr. Vitor was very friendly and always very quick to respond. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and fast. He gave several suggestions of places to go for lunch/dinner or shopping. The house is located in a very nice village and relatively close to other towns/big cities with a lot to do. I recommend it 100% for anyone planning to stay in this area.

Wonderful stay at Casa da Formiga thanks to Marilia and her good work. We had to change the dates of the reservation and she didn't give us any problems, always ready to solve any questions or doubts very quickly and with the best attitude. We were even able to delay the check-out time to enjoy the sunny day. The house is spectacular, even better than the photos. Extremely tidy and clean, it is extremely comfortable and cozy. It doesn't lack anything. We loved having breakfast and lunch with the beautiful views of Gerés every day. Marilia, thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be back!

We love staying in this residence, even with high time we can make the most of it, full kitchen, duvet towels and all clean sheets… Impeccable house we adore and will return again… City Hall has everything in the kitchen that a house needs and except magic wand and a blender that we missed. In the more there is kettle coffee machine, microwave grill everything, excellent stove and ovens, bathrooms and an amazing shower. We only lacked an air-conditioner but did not change at all the good lodging thank you !

The house itself is immaculate—spotless, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located in a peaceful rural setting. It was the ideal place to relax, especially with the hot tub which was spotless and ready to use on arrival. Plenty of great coastal spots within easy driving distance too.
