Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Braga

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. excellent stay, only issue was with sleeping as the double bed mattress had plastic wrapping which can be noisy. no washing machine. Definitely would stay again.

The stadium was great, I would just recommend that they explain the location better, since the directions indicated did not take us to the house, we had to consult Booking. They could also have specified where the firewood and charcoal were. Kind Regards

Phenomenal! Great vibe with cool touches throughout the entire home. Everything you need in cookware available to whip up your meals. We ate outside in the little private nook just off the kitchen surrounded by succulents and staghorn ferns listening to the local church bells. Nothing better than that. Great little town with so many restaurants and cafès plus local grocery stores and bakeries nearby and also plenty of cool paths to hike nearby! Highly recommended!!!

This has probably been the been AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The new house built on top of an ancient mill is really special and very welcoming with great attention to detail, the host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our requests and the location of the house allowed both for sightseeing in Guimaraes and Braga, as well as for excursions to the mountains and the sea side. We stayed for a week and the longer we stayed the more we appreciated our living environment in the middle of a flowing river stream.

The house do Bobal has exceeded our expectations, although in the photos it is already seen that it is very complete, being there it is even more beautiful and very cozy, I know that it was decorated by a family and not only for guests, we felt right at home, the beds are comfortable, the house was super clean, the back patio is great, we have enjoyed the hammock and also the game of darts, in the house there are more options of board games to play in front of the fireplace if it is cold as in our case... we were able to bring our chihuahua and we had a lot of privacy, the village is also very nice and there are several paths and things to visit in the area. Luis is very friendly and has had details with us such as asking the baker to leave the fresh bread at the door in the morning! super recommended! We're already looking forward to coming back :)

Super helpful and friendly host, always responded quickly to our questions and gave us a ride from the station to the accommodation. The apartment was really spacious and well lit, located in a quiet area a little outside the centre that was still within walking distance. Great experience

Very good welcome for the delivery of the keys. The apartment is perfect and in accordance with the descriptions, very comfortable bedding, a very good starting point for visits to the surroundings and the garage and the pool a plus. Thank you for everything.

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was cute, and Maria was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is in a rural enclave between Braga and Barcelos, providing easy access by car to surrounding towns. There are three large comfortable bedrooms, a dining room and a large terrace with a great view. The bathroom was newly renovated. A few things to consider: the gas stove was fine, but the oven appeared to be wood-heated, so not practical. One of the 2 bathrooms was outside the apartment, in a shared space downstairs. The pool, instead of a standard above-ground swimming pool, was more like a raised pond. It was good for a dip, but it wouldn’t have been good for small kids (no steps or shallow end) or for swimming (too small). The animals were super cute though city folks like us might be awoken by the roosters ;) There was also noise from the nearby highway. On the whole, we were happy with our stay and would stay again! A cute, convenient apartment with a lovely host :)

Bruno is a great host and the apartment is a comfortable nest for families. The pool is a great plus. The house shared space are awesome. Communication and support are impeccable.

Everything was great!

Very nice place to spend a few days with the family. Highly recommended for those with young children. The house was spotless and the outdoor garden is great for spending some quality time. Mr. Vitor was very friendly and always very quick to respond. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and fast. He gave several suggestions of places to go for lunch/dinner or shopping. The house is located in a very nice village and relatively close to other towns/big cities with a lot to do. I recommend it 100% for anyone planning to stay in this area.

In general, everything was very good, good accommodation, very nice host, very good pool, the only thing is that it is in a bit of a difficult area to drive and a bit far from the village, plus you have to go a little further than where the air bnb maps tell you to go, but the place is impeccable, clean, living room with pool and so on, television and air conditioning, everything perfect.

We chose Marília's place for the setting and being slightly further away from neighbouring houses than other places in the area. It didn't disappoint! Really peaceful with a great view. The pool is lovely but for clarity based on other reviews it definitely is not heated! We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

Aurora was a fabulous host, very accommodating & friendly. We loved our time staying at Casa Lima. The place was in a private and beautiful location, which hosted a group of 11 people. We enjoyed having fresh bread delivered by Aurora daily, which made for a lovely experience. The place was clean and tidy with lots of space. All bedrooms had bathrooms, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals, and we enjoyed swimming in the pool.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Vilar de Rei where we spent two weeks as a family. If you are looking for a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature and a place to completely switch off from the world, this is it. Marta and her father Daniel were the perfect hosts - responsive, helpful and kind. Our 1-year-old son had the time of his life riding Daniel's tractor, meeting the chickens, and picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. The pool is shared with the other house but there is plenty of space for everyone and we had very nice neighbours during our stay. There are lots of places to sit and relax or read in the garden - day beds, swings, benches, or the veranda with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. The garden is also full of herbs and lemon trees. The house inside is very well equipped, and the bed linen and towels are immaculate. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little piece of countryside heaven. Thank you Marta and Daniel!

We love and hope to repeat our stay at Toorgo House in the future! Both Mr. Manuel and his son Pedro were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the process and stay. Always very available to help us both at check-in and check-out, they even sent a list of recommendations for the area! The house is even better live! Super clean and decorated with care and quality. We really feel at home! Mr. Manuel's family was also kind enough to welcome us with a delicious birthday cake, a gesture much appreciated by all (and especially by the birthday girl!). The entire property is very well cared for, including the garden! The area is nice and easy to access with amenities nearby! I dare say it was one of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in as a family! We highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful house. Everything you could wish for or imagine is there. It is quiet and the view of the lake is wonderfully calming. All our questions were answered immediately and I have never had such friendly landlords. Thank you very much!
