Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Bury St Edmunds

The property definitely ticked all the boxes for us. We were staying for a wedding in the village. Having the pub across the road was a bonus as we didn’t really want to cater for ourselves other than breakfast and the church was only 200m away. The beds were all very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms most convenient. Two had good showers and the third a bath with a bath/shower mixer tap. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom but had we done, although it didn’t have an en-suite bathroom, it did have exclusive night time use of a cloakroom next door to it. It was positioned away from all the other bedrooms so it was as good as being en-suite for night time use and of course there were still three bathrooms to use for showering or bathing, so not really a game changer if four beds were needed.

Our little family had a lovely stay at Saint Martin's Street. The house is located in close proximity to Canon Square and the bottom of St John's Street for easy access into Bury Town Centre. The Abbey Gardens is easily accessible via the Town Centre, or short cutting via Garland Street and Looms Lane. The house is beautiful presented and we felt right at home. Our fifteen month old lovely to toddle around but we did have to watch her with some of the steps. For those of us who can easily negotiate a tiny step, it was perfect!!! ;)

me and my sister stayed here to celebrate my sisters birthday and Chloes cottage was absolutely the perfect choice, the whole place was stunning and was in such an ideal little village. the place was spotless and had everything we might have needed to enjoy our stay. Would highly recomend visiting Ickworth estate too which is only a 20 minute drive away!

A wonderful house in beautiful surroundings. It also had that more difficult to attain "presence", with each room allowing you to relax and experience its homeliness and history. The whole family (6 adults and 2 grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our stay to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. No-one really wanted to leave. Waking up to see the expanse of manicured gardens from bedroom windows and breakfast room was a calming relaxing pleasure. Plenty of walks available, and the walk to the local pub for an evening meal was safe and easy along quiet country roads. Would certainly recommend.

Jo’s place was as exactly as we chose. A very private place full of tranquility both inside and outside . The natural garden was a joy to just sit and enjoy the wild life and alfresco dining. We were blessed with good weather which made sitting and eating outside mist enjoyable. The garden was a haven for our two dogs to explore safely.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy English cottage! From the moment we arrived, Sarah made us feel so welcome. She truly went above and beyond—every little extra she left in the home made our stay feel special and thoughtful. The cottage itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, filled with authentic British charm that made it peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. It had everything we needed and more—every amenity was thoughtfully provided. The location couldn’t have been more perfect: just a short walk to the main area of town and right across the street from the railroad station, which made getting around so convenient. This was the perfect countryside escape, and we’re so grateful for Sarah’s hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

To be honest I don't like leaving the type of review that I'm about to. The reason being that the Roundhouse was so wonderful that what I am about to write may make it harder to book again, as everyone should stay there at least once! The property is even more unique, and beautiful, than it looks in the photos. It may be hundreds of years old but it felt like home the second we walked in through the great, big, front door. All the creature comforts that a couple could need for a short break were there, and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. It has to be said that I think the shower alone was worth the price we paid for the weekend as it was the perfect strength and temperature in a lovely large enclosure. If you ever want to actually leave the property there is a short stroll back along the road to Finchingfield. The village is the definition of picture postcard. There are numerous places to eat but I highly recommend the homemade pizzas at the Finchingfield Lion!!

Good accommodation in a beautiful area, very quiet, perfect for a " getaway." Accommodation was very clean.

This place really is a little gem, I cant recommend it highly enough. Mark and Annabel are fabulous hosts and have created an oasis of tranquillity in the centre of Cambridge. Perfectly situated a couple on minutes walk from the station taking you directly to both Stansted Airport and central London and a stones throw from the bars and restaurants in Mill Road, it really is the ideal location from which to explore the best City in the UK. Mark's comprehensive "things to see and do" booklet really deserves to become the official Cambridge City visitor guide book - not that I read it obviously..... I will definitely be back.

A lovely peaceful spot with pleasant village walk to the river from the door, as well as easy access to the main road. The accommodation was very comfortable with everything we needed and felt homely and clean. The riverside location was lovely, although rather more overgrown than shown on the pictures. Would definitely stay again.

I was delighted with my stay. Everything was extremely well organised, very pleasant and well represented by the listing. No unpleasant surprises at all. If you're looking for somewhere a short walk from the centre, yet still with its own sense of privacy, you'll struggle to do better.

It felt like being at home, very spacious and comfortable for two people.

We had a wonderful stay, it was peaceful and relaxing. The property was clean and welcoming, with useful information at hand. It had everything we needed and was just right for visiting family in the area. It was great that we were able to take our small dog with us and had some lovely walks in the area.

Would definitely stay here again. Can highly recommend the Annexe at no.9. Well laid out interior with great facilities and equipped to a high standard. Really appreciated the full bowl of coffee pods and food and drink staples on arrival. The private garden is secluded, quiet and well kept, ideal to relax in. Very well situated for Cambridge City centre and amenities, all within easy reach either by car or bus. A definite 10/10 for us.

I've stayed at Orchard Apartment before during a work trip and it was great to be back. The place is peaceful with fantastic views over the fields - a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day. I met Rob this time who is friendly and welcoming. I would happily stay again. :-)

Had a great stay at Susan’s. The place is beautifully presented and very clean. Susan also left some chocolate and snacks which is very nice. She is a great communicator. Highly recommend her place!

Had a lovely two night stay Annetta greated us and showed us around was very lovely, The place was beautiful and quite and very clean and had everything you needed and the hot tub was a added luxury, loved waking up and walking outside and seeing the horses. My partner feel in love with Daisey the cat she likes to come and greet u also 😀 We would definitely come and stay again 😀

Great place in prime location on the seafront . Place was bigger than expected and had everything you could need and more for a week’s stay . Really clean and tidy . Plenty of treats left for us and the dogs . Overall really happy with apartment and location . Will definitely stay again .
