The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal. The space is shoe and scent free.

An Architects Studio- In a Secluded Forest

This incredible space has been the inspirational hub for designing the most creative projects in Humboldt during the past 18 years. Now it has been reborn as an immersive space to enjoy the redwoods. Every inch has been thoughtfully designed to allow our guests to feel the enveloping majestic nature of the surrounding forest. Upon arrival, a golf cart awaits for your journey through the woods, to the upper landing of the raised boardwalk crossing over a seasonal creek bringing you to The Studio.

Spend time among the redwoods near the fish pond in our elegant modern retreat with many artistic custom elements. Let the tension from the road melt away in our hot tub and spa like rain shower, then relax on our comfortable California King beds. Located in an upscale quiet neighborhood in the hills above Arcata, near extensive redwood hiking trails. Unwind in our sheltered outdoor living room, with a fire pit by the pond. **Please keep voices low out of consideration for the neighbors.**

Alpine Camp is an A-frame tiny cabin in the Shasta-Trinity Nat'l Forest; on a private, low-impact campground. Overlooking a 30-foot natural waterfall*, surrounded by ferns, and mossy forest, it’s a basecamp made for relaxing. The cabin’s translucent pop-up window opens into a covered awning, giving you a front-row seat to the forest, no matter the weather, while the mosquito netting keeps the bugs away. Unplug from the noise and immerse yourself in the raw beauty of old-growth wilderness.

Relax after a day of exploring the Humboldt Redwoods State Park in this peaceful, dog-friendly (for a fee), renovated barn. It is located right off highway 101 and just minutes to the Avenue of the Giants for exploring and hiking. Enjoy shopping and dining in the nearby Victorian village of Ferndale. You have private river access located next to the Strawhouse Cafe’ across the street where you can swim, fish, relax, and/or hike nearby trails. The kitchen has a mini fridge, air fryer, toaster oven, induction plate & microwave and is stocked with cups, plates, silverware, etc. Charcoal BBQ is in share area outside.
