Cottage holiday rentals in Bucknell

Lovely stay, stunning gardens - would have been good to know there are other holiday lets immediately next to the property the listing does give the impression it’s totally isolated but thankfully there were no guests in the other houses while we were there.

This place is so lovely! Host Meng was so kind, even putting some beautiful flowers in the cottage for my birthday ❤️ the view is spectacular, it's one of the most peaceful places I've been. Hot tub is great fun, the kitchen has got everything you need including washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The bed was comfy, plug sockets everywhere you'd want them and usb sockets. It was great to see how dog friendly the place is with throws for the couch, fenced garden and fixed stairs gates. I highly advise popping into Jolter Press Cider bar/shop and getting some food from the local Chinese takeaway. Also a walk to St Anthony's Well, there's some step incline/declines on the walk there but it's beautiful and you have to take a dip! We also went to the Three Choirs Vineyard that was beautiful and good fun too. I would definitely come back and I think it would be equally beautiful in any season, our summer trip was fantastic but I'd love to see it in autumn or winter too.

What a truly beautiful venue if you want a quiet & private setting with amazing views & a trip to wonderful day trip to Ludlow with lazy cafes & a wonderful river walk… beds were comfy, everything you needed & a private hot tub was the perfect end to a days walking!

We had a lovely stay at Bramble Cottage - it was really cosy, clean and the hot tub was great! The hosts are super helpful and quick to reply with any questions we had! Recommend this cottage to anyone who fancies a wholesome weekend away ☺️

Amazing stay at the Yarlington Dairy. The cottage was stunning and had everything you needed. The views were magnificent and the cider was also lush! Laura was a wonderful host, super friendly and very responsive. Thank you for a great stay celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary! 🤩 x

What a wonderful time we had on our honeymoon. Sarah was an incredible host and we had such a warm welcome. Once checked in Sarah was available via text but left us to enjoy our time. The house was really clean and beautifully decorated, it has everything we needed and we were able to cook in the lovely kitchen. There was lots to do around the area including national trusts and plenty of dog walks. The garden and hot tub were bliss and we really felt as though we were on a luxury break. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy and very comfortable, and the brightness in the front room and kitchen was so beautiful. We would absolutely return and loved meeting Sarah, would highly recommend this air b&b. It was perfect in every way!

The cottage is beautiful and set in beautiful surroundings. Although the weather wasn’t that great , we still had a fantastic time and the hot tub was lovely. I would definitely recommend a stay here .

We had a wonderful stay! The place was absolutely lovely and felt so homely - clean comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The surrounding area was peaceful and serene, perfect for a relaxing break. One of the highlights for us was the beautiful garden. It was secure for our dogs to enjoy safely and attracted a variety of birds, which we loved watching. The hosts were also very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, pet-friendly getaway!

Lovely little place for a short stay in Leominister. It was very easy to walk into town and to the local Aldi and parking was very easy at Broad Street Car Park. The shower was very good, beds were comfortable and the back patio was lovely in the sun by the river. Highly recommend Neil's place for a central but private and quiet stay.

Kevin was a terrific host. The gardens of the house were excellent and made for a relaxing stay. The house was very charming and we enjoyed cooking for each other and playing games.

What a gorgeous place if all you need is peace and quiet and the sound of the birds this is for you. Even better is it’s only 25 minutes from Abergavenny and it’s Waitrose 😉. Wilma was lovely and updated us with everything and replied with answers to our queries . We are only annoyed that we took so long to find this little gem!

We had a lovely stay at Simon’s beautiful cottage. The bed was really comfy and there was no external noise (apart from the sheep!). It was such a peaceful few days and perfect for us with our 7 month old daughter and dog. The cottage is set on the hillside with stunning panoramic views. The garden is fenced all the way round and there’s a perfectly placed bench to watch the sunset. The interior was kitted out to a high standard and had all the basics you would need. Simon was very friendly and offered some great local recommendations. We will definitely be back one day to visit again - thank you!

We had a fantastic stay! The host was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great advice on local places to visit and eat—really helpful in making the most of our trip. The house itself was spacious, comfy, and perfect for our young family (plus our dog!). The garden was private and secure, which gave us real peace of mind with both our daughter and the dog able to play safely. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the house and garden made it an especially relaxing place to unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped and thoughtfully stocked, and having easy parking and clear directions made everything smooth from the start. All in all, it was an ideal place to stay, and we’d definitely love to come back! Highly recommended.

The perfect little hideaway for a few days. If it’s character you’re looking for you can’t go wrong with Covey Cottage! Perfectly peaceful and secluded and lovely, friendly hosts. I’d definitely recommend.

Our 1st Air B&B experience and it was fabulous. Minus a star of easy to find, mainly as we were looking at eye level from car for sign, but it was up high and was wood on wood, we also missed the name The Steps up on the house wall. 🙈 Would have appreciated conditioner with shampoo but apart from that minor niggle, everything else was perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future. Loads of useful information on places to go, including walks, pubs and local towns provided. Also, very clear instructions for staying and also for leaving. Loved the little private garden, especially for our dog. Extremely comfortable bed and fab shower - would highly recommend. Also, Sandy and Claire were lovely.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread and a thoughtful basket of goodies — such a personal and generous touch. The space itself was beautiful, cozy, and spotless, with every detail carefully considered. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was our hostess. She was incredibly kind and welcoming — warm, helpful, and genuinely caring. It’s clear she puts her heart into making her guests feel completely at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended!

Do not hesitate to book this place if you’re staying in Hay. Beautiful little cottage, great location close to the river walk and the village, not far from the bus stop. Two bedrooms upstairs with comfy beds, great shower/tub, wood-burning stove downstairs, well appointed kitchen with everything you need, lovely garden out back with chairs to sit in the sun and listen to the birds. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay in Leintwardine - have visited the village many times before and from now on this will be the place we choose to stay!

Bill was a perfect host. Friendly but not intrusive, and his basket of goodies was amazing. Couldn’t fault the cottage. It had everything one would need for a carefree and relaxing break. I would certainly recommend it, and would definitely like to stay here again.

Such a wonderful cottage tucked away in the St Leonard’s steps area of the High Town. The cottage has everything you could need and so many extras we were blown away! I’ll be finding an excuse to return!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Farm. Penny was the perfect host and the accommodation & floral garden were beautifully peaceful and tucked away in exceptionally beautiful countryside. Welcomed with Penny’s introduction to her delightfully friendly Vallais blackface sheep and a sumptuous chocolate cake, it was special from the start. Great showers, cosy beds, and the whole place cleverly renovated. We slept well, luxuriated in the comfy sofas and enjoyed the sun streaming in to the kitchen. It was a great base for exploring locally and Penny tipped us off about a stunning local garden to visit. So much. Thank you indeed Penny!

Our stay at Jens place was exactly what we needed, the perfect location for catching up with family and we really wish we’d had longer to stay and enjoy Jens beautiful place! Everything about it was homely and we recommend to anybody looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet x

Fab stay at the cottage , great location to use as a base for visits/hiking throughout the marches / mid Wales and Prestigne is a lovely small town to grab a coffee or have diner.
