Bristol Luxury Garden Apartment

This is a sunny, light high ceilinged apartment on the garden level of this impressive Grade 2 listed 200 year old Georgian house set on a hill in Montpelier, Bristol. The owner lives on the top 2 levels of the property. The apartment has its own side door at the bottom of the side steps (with iron handrail) with access to a south facing terrace overlooking the garden. The terrace is for sole use of the apartment and access to the garden is allowed if there are children staying (there is a 2 metre drop down to the vegetable patch at the end of the garden so young ones will need to be supervised for safety) This is ideal for 2 people but there is a new small double sofa bed in the living room.(available for £25 per stay). There is also a solid fold out bed. There is a large travel cot available for £20 for the length of stay (payable after arrival). Also free of charge high chair and light weight buggy suitable for a toddler. The price for two people total is for two people sharing the bed in the bedroom. If the sofa bed is also needed when there is two people staying there is an extra charge of £25. (This payment can be left in the apartment at the end of the stay). There are black out blinds in both the bedroom and living room. Everything has been refurbished personally by the owner (and there is a lot of white!) so respect would be very much appreciated about the decor. It is 50 square metres in total area. The kitchen includes an induction hob and oven which makes cooking even safer, and there is also a slimline Bosch dishwasher. A fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and a smoke alarm are fitted. The area is a resident parking and permit only area (between the weekday hours of 9am-5pm and free on the weekends and overnight. I will supply permits free of charge for your car only. If you are staying longer than a week please let me know if you need a pass for longer than a month as I might have to apply for more passes from the council. please let me know how many days you will need and I will organise the virtual permits once I have your car details. There are NO real fires allowed. Montpelier is a very tranquil, peaceful but atmospheric area. It is steeped in history including Cary Grant being one of its past residents and presently home to members of the group Massive Attack. The area is known for its friendliness and as a very arty, quite green, bohemian area full of musicians, artists, actors, students and with a rainbow of backgrounds and ages. There are great places to eat within a 5 minute walk: famous to Bristolians is Bells Diner a great tapas (also Pocos), then there is The Thali Cafe with live music on Sundays, Indian and tasty burger takeaways along with pizza places close by. A late opening convenience store just a couple of minutes walk away from the apartment and also 'Better Foods' an organic food store and coffee shop. There is a local bakers "Herberts" which bakes for many restaurants in Bristol and there is an abundance of eating places and trendy bars to choose from either nearby (10 min walk) on Stokes Croft, Cheltenham Road or Gloucester Road (15 min walk, which also has plenty of well known live jazz venues), St. Andrews and Montpelier Park are both close by and also there is a very enjoyable free city farm only a short walk through the allotments (with a great pub next door with garden aptly named The Farm!) There is also an impressive climbing centre in a converted church. Other than the huge shopping complex of Cabots Circus only 15 minute walk away including House of Fraser, Apple and all the other famous stores, you also have all the fun and quirky independent stores of Gloucester Road which are also only a 15 minute walk away. Montpelier train station can take you via a 10/15 minute journey to Temple Meads station, from where you can either take a 12 minute train journey to central Bath or straight to Cardiff if you fancy. If travelling by car, the apartment is 5 minutes from junction 3 of the M32 or a 30 minute drive to Bath or an hour to Cardiff. The apartment's street name means a 2 wheeled cart so it is very narrow, so even though there is parking it is wise to park on the next street up and walk 100 metres if you are wary of parking so close to a wall! Bristol airport is 10 miles (16km) away which takes 30 minutes by car or there is a bus to the nearby bus and coach station. From Montpelier train station you can go 10 minutes straight to Clifton, or even further to Severn Beach to see the Welsh bridges over the River Severn. Bristol has so many things to offer: Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Water Front, art galleries including The Arnolfini, museums including the At Bristol (science museum), Sea Aquarium, boat rides, SS Great Britain, an abundance of music venues, beautiful parks and The Downs, Hot air ballooning, kite flying, Bristol Old Vic and The Tobacco Factory, art house cinemas or just sitting down and people watching. Wales, The Cotswolds, The Wye Valley, north Devon beaches, The Forest of Dean and Oxford are all about an hour's drive so plenty of things to do, and places to see and walk. There is a minimal cleaning fee, but if left in a mess or rugs etc soiled there will be a charge for the extra cleaning and any broken items. The Barn has a "retro/rustic/bunk house character" with exposed beams some dating from the Napoleonic Wars. It has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other has two single beds of which one is on long legs!), both have en-suite wet rooms and lead off the large living/play area. Sheets and towels are included. The kitchen area in the main room comprises an electric cooker, butler's sink, microwave, refrigerator with small freezer section, kettle and toaster, utensils and crockery. Complimentary beverages, breakfast cereals, eggs mostly from our own hens, homemade bread, jam and cake, milk and bacon are provided to kick start your stay. There is a full size table tennis table and bar football for the young at heart! The sitting area is around a cast iron wood burning stove has a digital TV with SKY and an Ikea sofa which makes up into a full size single bed. Background heating is provided by a state of the art computer controlled electric panel system and there are panels in each bedroom. Off street parking is on the shared pebbled yard next to the Barn. The Barn is accessed via a shared drive with the main house in which the hosts live. The drive has large metal gates separating it from the public park (Redland Green) over which there is a tarmacked access road leading from Redland Green Road. There is a children's play area near the house. Redland Green Farm is in a sylvan setting but is only one mile from the city centre and has good bus and train links with the main line stations. There are numerous eating and drinking establishments, shops and amenities within walking distance either on the Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road, Cabot Circus, Broadmead, and Clifton.

Recently refurbished, 1000 sq ft (93 sq m), light and airy garden flat in a large Victorian house. Seconds away from the restaurants, bars, shops and train station of Whiteladies Road. A few minutes from Clifton Downs and Bristol University. Guests have shared use of gardens. In addition to the kingsize bed, we have a Z-Bed plus a travel cot for infants. Basic kitchen essentials for two people. Unfortunately this is not a space for social gatherings or entertaining friends and family.

My apartment has been stylishly furnished, while bringing out the traditional features of a Georgian property. Having grown up in Zimbabwe I was inspired to bring a taste of the local culture to Bristol. The place is ideally situated within walking distance of the city centre, Clifton and Gloucester road. There are many renowned restaurants, cafes and bars with a wide selection of cuisines. We require guests to be very respectful of our neighbours and noise levels during their stay.

We should like to stress that being a loft conversion in some areas the ceiling is low and this may be a bit of a problem, particularly, for guests taller than 1.76m (5ft10ins)

We’re around 20 mins walk into town and close to great local, national and international transport links. This is a vibrant central area but a fairly quiet road. Parking can be difficult during the day but usually OK in the evening and at weekends. There is a lovely park just around the corner and a thriving independent high street.

Lovely flat in the heart of Lawrence Hill. Lots of natural light entering the flat. It is on the main road so sound of traffic can be heard. 20 minute walk into the centre of town with the option to take the Bristol to Bath cycle route which is a minutes walk from the flat. Good train and bus links also. Restaurants, supermarket, post office and convenience stores all within a minutes walk from flat.

We had a fab weeks stay in the Little Barn. The pictures don’t do the place justice; Andrew and Kate are friendly and welcoming, but Milo is the standout host - welcoming, charming, and more than happy to show our spaniel around the large garden. Kind and considerate welcoming touches such as coffee pods, milk, and fizz were very welcome! The hot tub is dreamy. The location is amazing and easily accessible into the city centre, but great also as a base to explore further afield. It’s a perfect space for 2. The bedroom is lovely, the bed is on the firm side but it might be my overly sensitive back. Will definitely love to book again.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Stables. It was just as beautiful as the photos suggested and a perfect location for visiting Bath. It was a simple hop onto a bus at the end of the drive and be in the city centre within 15 mins. The quality of the furnishings in The Stables were clear to see & made our stay that much more luxe to help celebrate my 40th birthday. We had great weather and took full advantage of the hot tub to relax after a long day exploring Bath. We had a couple of queries for Nancy during our stay and Nancy was very quick to respond in a very polite & helpful manner. Thanks for a lovely stay Nancy!

The hut was exactly like the photos and just as described The thoughtful touches Prosecco milk cake hot chocolate and chocolate were lovely and really made us feel at home The hut was well appointed and everything had been well thought through and we did not want for anything The fact the washing up was done for you again added to the experience! Jerry and Jacqui made us feel so welcome for our weekend in Bristol for my brother’s wedding. The house is quirky but beautiful and well appointed, exactly as described. The location is amazing, a moments walk from the docks (M Shed, a plethora of great eateries and coffee shops). We particularly enjoyed breakfasts in the sun trap garden looking down on the water. Jerry made check in super easy and stayed to show us around, he’d even baked us a loaf of homemade sourdough! Thank you for a wonderful stay and a memorable weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Property is in a convenient location for Bristol city centre and nearby Clifton with good pubs/restaurants/shops nearby. Place was lovely and clean and host responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. My only suggestion to visitors would be to take an eye mask as the bedrooms only have Venetia blinds in, no curtains.

We had a lovely stay in Bristol overlooking the park. We walked in to the centre through the park and found a great cafe for breakfast in Totterdown. I have not been to Bristol for many years and it has changed such a lot! In a good way. We are already planning to come back for another visit. Jason was a very responsive host, answered our queries very promptly.

We spent 6 days at Rob’s place with our 3 children. The weather was not our friend but the onsite swimming pool meant we still had a fabulous time. The hot tub was a great addition to the property. The cottage had plenty of room for us all & the spa facilities were fantastic. Great location as well, we had a lovely morning wandering around Cirencester. Rob was super helpful. We used 2 of the recommended places to eat & both were fantastic options. Lovely stay!
