Angels’ Share is an architect designed contemporary cottage over looking Knock Bay and the ruins of Knock Castle. There is spacious accommodation for two people, with room for two children on a sofa bed (a cot is also available for infants). The cottage is situated on the Sleat peninsula known as the Garden of Skye. The cottage is not far from from the Skye Bridge and the mainland ferry ports. It makes a great base for exploring the whole of Skye's beautiful scenery.
“This place is amazing! Beautifully decorated, warm & comfortable, stunning location & full of lovely little touches which made us feel like we were staying in a fancy boutique hotel! John & Mhairi were wonderfully welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfy, and the house was equipped with everything from coffee maker to an Alexa. Very close to Torabhaig distillery, the beach & the ruins of Knock Castle, so stuff to do close by. Couldn't quite believe the quality of this place, thanks so much for our amazing holiday!”
The Hobbit house with its round door is straight out of Middle Earth! It is close to the sea, the beach and the mountains. It has a spectacular view of Beinn na Cailleach (Hill of the Old Woman). 'The Old Woman' was a Norse princess (Skye once belonged to Norway) .The Hobbit House is NOT suitable for pets, sorry! The first thing you should do is download the map from our photo gallery. Satnav doesn't work here!
“The Hobbit house is a truly unique and wonderful place to stay. A modern construction but with bags of character, isolated yet close to the town of Broadford for avoid range of amenities and serves as a good Hun for travelling to and from Skye and is on a major route to get to the isles hotspots. We were there during a big storm and despite the place getting bashed around in the wind place was, well insolated, warm and cosy, and has everything you need for your stay. The kitchen facilities are basic, as to be expected for this kind of property but we still managed to russle up a steak dinner and cooked breakfast everyday with no issues. Lovely hosts as well and some good tips in the guest book. A truly memorable, first class experience.”
Our pod is located on the family Croft in the quiet village of Breakish, just 4 miles from the Skye Bridge. With beautiful panoramic views looking north over the coast of Skye, you can see the islands of Pabay, Scaplay and Raasay in the distance and the Red Cullin Hills of Skye.
“Angus's pod was very stylish. The bed was very comfortable and the room was full of nice little touches. The pictures don't do justice to the place. Communication with the host was great. We booked the pod on the same day and he was very quick to accept the request. Also, he was very responsive and he had great suggestions for restaurants. We loved the isle of Skye and if we have the chance to go back we would love to stay at Angus's again. Would 100% recommend.”
