I stayed at Steel House with six of my old school friends and we all really enjoyed our stay. The garden is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings with a drink and to be kept warm by the fire pit as the sun sets. The entertainment in the games room was great fun too. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with the basics for the home cooking. The whole house was beautifully furnished and very clean. We found Steel House to be the perfect location for our get together and it is very good value for money. Would recommend!😊

Superb house of great character with extensive garden, an excellent location for the celebration of a special family birthday involving three generations. All concerned loved it.

We had an incredible stay! The wow factor of this house is indescribable! All of us took hours talking about how amazing the building was, how big the rooms were, withl excitement for everyone! Within 30 minutes we were talking about booking for the following year. The house was so well equipped, it had pretty much everything you could wish for, especially in the kitchen and dining room. The two lounges give the option to spend time together or apart and allowed us to celebrate the new year in absolute bliss. The house was even decorated for the festive period! The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and really thoughtful. With the minimal hiccups that occured throughout our stay, Serena was contactable, approachable, apologetic and dealt with any request or question promptly. Thank you Serena for allowing our family to celebrate 2024 and bring in 2025 in complete and utter comfort.

We stayed at Amelias place for my Hen do last weekend and it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. The house had everything we needed (and more) and was in such a good location. Everything we wanted to do / visit was a maximum 15 minute walk away. The lack of parking was disappointing but the closest carpark was only a 10 minute walk away. We had a great stay ane would definitely return! Thanks so much x

We had a wonderful stay in this house. The view from the terrace is incredible. We enjoyed a few games of tennis and relaxing in the hot tub. The house was spotlessly clean and have everything you could possibly want for a weekend. The outdoor spaces were fantastic and there was plenty of parking. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at Mellisa’s place. The house is very large. 4 spacious bedrooms with 4 separate bathrooms (not all ensuite). The kitchen is of a great size and so it the living room. The beds were comfortable and the linen smelt very clean. The location is top tier. We parked our car at Charlottes street parking (5 min walk) which was about 20 pound for 24 hours, which was very convenient. All in all we loved our stay and would love to come back one day!

Loved our stay in Llanishen. Beautiful house, well equipped and in fabulous condition. Plenty of room and had everything you could need. The village was lovely and it was a great location to go exploring from.

What an amazing place! 11 of us stayed here for a hen weekend and had the BEST time. Trinity House is beautifully decorated, with everything you could possibly need. Located in a quiet peaceful area and perfect for a girls weekend away. Everyone loved the cute quirky vintage feel and the secret bookcase doorway, the beds were super comfy and powerful showers were a plus. Allie was a lovely host, very helpful, friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend and would love to return! Thank you!

We had the perfect stay for my friends hen do. The house is so beautiful and spacious with lots of room for socialising. The garden is really lovely and the rooms are all a good size. Rach was the perfect host and helped with any queries from check in to local recommendations. We travelled into Bath which is about a 25 min taxi ride so the location is also ideal. I’d highly recommend this house and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

This weekend stay was ideal for our family - a beautiful, homely environment, catering for a range of ages. The house and garden was relaxing and roomy, infact it looks bigger than the photographs portrayed. We felt comfortable and made the most of our time there; the playground opposite, walks into Bath, restaraunts and happy times at the house made for a great weekend. Large kitchen and cooking facilities was a real feature where cooking at the property was made easier. Rupert's communication, friendliness and instructions were second to none and I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing, laid-back break.

We had a lovely stay! The house is a converted school with a huge main room and lots of bedroom space. We loved the convenience of the kitchen and washer and dryer. Lots of great pubs nearby and close for visits to Bristol and Chepstow. Hosts were very responsive.

The place was easy to find and the hosts were flexible and responsive. Very grateful for allowing early check in and surprise bottle of prosecco in the fridge. Unfortunately the cleanliness was not quite what you’d hope for. It looked clean but when some of us wore white socks, by bedtime they changed colour, and there were quite a few chips, sticker marks, leftover blue tac etc. With all that being said it was still a great experience and a little damage to socks Paul’s in comparison with great hosts and fantastic location of the place.

A lovely long weekend in beautiful surroundings. We booked Helen’s place as a base for engagement celebrations. We loved having access to the surrounding forest and a large garden for our Grandchildren. Comfortable bedrooms and large living areas for two families. The house has everything you need and the kitchen is very well equipped. We saw wild boar in the forest across the road at dusk - lovely surprise! Our Grandson loved toddling down to the brook behind the house and we enjoyed the stickman trail from the park. We are looking forward to returning when the grandchildren are not dependent on buggy’s so we can access the cycle trails and go a bit further. We had a lovely meal at The Dog and Muffler Inn with family. Too short a stay but very enjoyable and comfortable.

Great stay Andy was available on our arrival to show us around and how to use things, beds were made up for the amount of guests and location is beautiful!

Such a great property. The house itself is very nice, spacious and thoughtfully put together. The pool, sauna and sauna are amazing. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay - such a beautiful house and amazing garden. We hugely enjoyed playing tennis, ping pong, the swimming pool and beautiful walks in the local area. The house was characterful and homely as well as being immaculate and spacious. We would highly recommend this to everyone!

All previous reviews indicated a top class house in every respect and I can only reiterate those views. If I could have given a 6 star rating I would have done so. All generations (grandparents, parents and children) thoroughly enjoyed using all of the facilities provided from cooking, eating and drinking to the outside play area, the pool and the gym. Further the location was most agreeable, in easy reach of lots of beautiful countryside and interesting places to visit in South Gloucestershire. Helen-Louise’s communications were responsive, clear and most helpful. The perfect host!

Amazing property with everything you need! We stayed here as 2 families of 4 for the weekend. The communication from the host was always very friendly and fast. The house was spotlessly clean and well presented. All of the facilities kept the children well entertained and allowed the adults to relax. Thank you for a great stay.

Easter weekend is difficult & expensive accommodation-wise yet we were able to find this gem of a house in a quiet corner of Somerset, on a branch line between Bath & Bradford-on-Avon. We had lovely walks along the Avon, trips by train into Bath & B-on-A, we had drinks in the garden in the sunshine (didn't brave the pool - it is still only April!) and ate our meals in the cheerful large kitchen. We also didn't try out the croquet - we might have done with a longer stay - who knows? The village is beautiful to walk around too, almost all Cotswold stone, to be recommended. Many thanks to Deborah & Philip for a wonderful stay.

Excellent place, great value, communicative host

Just back from a wonderful stay. It was perfect for a family get together and the spa was absolutely wonderful. Eleanor was incredibly helpful and friendly. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby and lovely restaurants/ cosy pubs within a short drive too. Would highly recommend.

Matt's place is fantastic. We had a truly wonderful stay at his house and very much enjoyed the garden and the swimming pool. Paul was super attentive and welcoming, making sure all our needs were met and offering helpful recommendations. A fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to coming back next year!
