Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Borgarbyggð

The four of us felt very comfortable in Sigrún's house! Everything was super prepared and explained. Our (adult) kids loved the cats:-) Communication was nice and Sigrún is very helpful. The location is great for excursions e.g. Snæfellsnes or Hraunfossar.

We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

A spacious house with a great feel-good atmosphere. Unfortunately the hot tub didn't work and the kitchen was not so clean.

Absolutely the best place we stayed in all of Iceland. A lovely, absolutely beautiful respite and location. We say the aurora both nights, enjoyed a dip in the cold spring, hiked to the top of the mountain behind the home, enjoyed the views to the ocean both from the warmth of the living room and the hot tub! The home is so well appointed, very comfortable beds, linens, sparkling clean. AS we'd already explored Snaefellsnes, Gudrun suggested we explore the area a bit east of Burðardular and it was awesome. My daughter and I enjoyed horseback riding at Sturlureykir Horses and my son and husband enjoyed the ice cave and snowmobiling on the glacier out of Husafell with Into the Glacer- the area is so geothermally active and I wish we'd had time to go to Krauma Hot Springs too! Don't miss Hraunfossar & Barnafoss! We would definitely come back to this area and try to stay longer at Háafel Lodge!

A beautiful house, we felt right at home. There was everything we needed and the view is great! The kids especially loved the dogs and played with them every day. Our hosts were always easy and quick to reach when we had an issue. We'll be back!

As an American family on vacation far away, we were delighted to find this peaceful beautiful home. You can tell that the owner has put their heart into everything. Just beautiful! I slept like 12 hours. It was so quiet, comfortable, and dark. Wonderful. Recommend. 5 stars!

A lovely, spacious and homely apartment, located on a quiet road near amenities. Perfect location for excursions to the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable - we had great nights sleep! The kitchen was well equipped. The host was polite and super responsive. Highly recommended!! This Airbnb was incredible, it is bigger than in the pictures was super clean and the host was more than helpful with everything. Nothing to improve here.

This was a perfect jump off point for exploring the area! Short drive in every direction for hikes and attractions. Sleepy little town with amazing views right out front. Loa was wonderful with recommendations and information. The home was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful view and comfortable space. We stayed for one night but it would be the perfect place to act as a base for exploring western Iceland. The food and coffee downstairs are very good as well.

This was a fantastic little place to stay as we neared the end of our 10 day ring road journey! We checked in 30mins after the cafe closed but they still made us a full dinner and helped take it up to our room. The young woman who checked us in was responsive, helpful, and kind. The extra 10% discount at the cafe was also great! Everything was as described and it felt very homey.
