Quiet rural setting overlooking the Mahurangi River ,Te Kapa inlet and farmland .Lots of native bush and wild bird life . Matakana area has wineries ,restaurants ,art galleries ,beaches ,regional parks and a farmers market . As it is West facing we are often treated to spectacular sunsets. The apartment is spacious with a sitting room and is separated from the main house by a double garage . Suitable for wheelchair users . We are down a 2 km gravel road but the views are worth the drive.

The George Cabin - Kawau Island

A perfect island getaway! Kawau Island -1 hour drive from Auck to Sandspit, a 40 min boat ride to Smelting House Bay. 'The George' is a 5 minute walk from Lidgard Wharf. Come by ferry or your own boat. The George is set amongst the ferns & native flora, getting late morning sun. See wekas and wallabies on your walks. Your own private self-contained 2 bedroom apartment with own entry access, parking and large deck area with fabulous views across the bay to Kawau Island. It is on the lower level of our home but fully independent from the main house and we are mindful and considerate of your presence. The space is open plan with a lounge, kitchenette and dining, seperate bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one single and one queen. There is one induction cooktop, a microwave, toaster, jug and teas and coffee.
