Bottom line: I would stay here again. The place is cozy and tidy. Carmin made obvious efforts to make the place welcoming. It’s a good location that’s removed from the congestion of the village center, but you can get there by car in 5 minutes. You can walk out the door and go for a hike. Water pressure in the shower is good. Carmin provides lots of local recommendations. Netflix readily available. Coffee and welcome snacks given. Heater heats up place quickly. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as you can hear any car pass at night. The place is older, and as such has houseflies. They’re being managed, but it’s a little surprising at first. The place is clean. I didn’t find vent fans for the kitchen or bathroom, but there are windows close. The bed is fairly comfortable, on the softer side, but the pillows are noisy. The cookware is a little beat up (missing handles), but functional. We did not use the washer or dryer. Overall good stay.

Great, well-kept house with incredible surroundings and nature to explore! The pictures do not do it justice for good that view is. House amenities covered everything one would need with lots of seating and a furnished kitchen (plates, bowls, utensils, pots, pans). Catherine helped with all the little requests that came up during my month long stay there. Technology was not the focus with just a small tv, but it really shouldn't be when in this area. Wifi is strong and allowed me to easily work remotely during my time there. If I was in the area again this house would be the go-to. With regards to the driveway, at least 6" of ground clearance is recommended for the last half mile up to the house. One of my friends drove a crossover with only about 4-5 inches of clearance and it scraped on the way up. Driveway is steep (5-10% grade) as well. 2wd with clearance can get you up in the nicer months, but muddy or snowy conditions would require 4wd with good tires.

Kim and Jane are very sweet and there if you need them. The room was great and has a kitchenette and sink so you can cook meals which was great for my week long stay. It is a nice 30 minute highway drive to Burlington and there are local restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. I would definitely stay with Kim and Jane again for a peaceful retreat away from the city.
