Stylish, Mid-Town Cottage and pet friendly

Come relax and unwind in the completely renovated Dupre House. This gorgeous cottage takes you back in time with its salvaged ship lap ceilings and original hardwood floors, yet all the modern amenities you expect have been added, making this Victorian-era gem a perfect getaway. Two outdoor porches are ideal for catching the amazing breeze and watching the world go by while you wine and dine or sip coffee. Inside, a bold tropical theme awaits you with large print patterns and colors of greens, blacks, amber and blue. Nautical decor and artwork complete the fun and vibrant vibe. Master bedroom has a queen size bed and private bath, and secondary bedroom has a full size antique bed with easy access to the hall bath. Both mattresses are 14" thick gel foam and so comfy. Kitchen has all new appliances and is stocked with an assortment of cookware and utensils. Living room has a brand new convertible sectional with back rests that flatten to provide two more beds. This is a single family home that you will have full access to. Self check-in with keyless entry. A code will be provided to you before your arrival. I'm happy to provide any information you need about the home or the island. I don't live far from the property, so usually I'm available. The home is set in Galveston's Midtown neighborhood, just five blocks (an easy 10-minute stroll)to the seawall with a range of shopping, dining, and beach activities to choose from. Besides the beach, the central location of the home makes for quick drives to all that the east end of the island offers. The Strand and Historic East End Districts are just 2 miles away, and are full of restaurants, shops and art galleries. There are also several museums to visit within a 2 mile radius. The city runs on a grid system with streets running north and south being numerical, and streets running east and west being alphabetical, so it's super easy to get around. There also is a bus system, a Trolley and Uber and Lyft both serve the island. We are in between 41st and 43rd street and both have been repaved to include a bike/walk path up to the seawall.
