Cottage holiday rentals in Bolivar Peninsula

A great vintage home with modern conveniences. We'd be happy to stay here again, hopefully with more time to enjoy.

My family and I had a great stay. Every picture and everything listed were very accurate. Geat space and lots of sleeping accommodations.

We enjoyed our stay! The home was clean and cozy. Our favorite part was outside as the backyard was very private with a large privacy fence and a play set that our two children absolutely loved, making it easy to visit with family while they were entertained. Would stay again!

We stayed at Tammy's place with our 2 grandsons. It is a lovely place. The house was spotless and in a great location. Our grandsons spent so much time on the beach which is just steps away from the house. My husband and I could sit on the covered porch and watch them dig for hours. Of course, we were right there with them when they wanted to go boogie boarding (3 boards available at the house). The house was well stocked with dishes, glasses and pots. Tammy gave us recommendations on where to grocery shop and even a nice restaurant down the road. If I had a question, she was very responsive and answered quickly. The hot tub was an added bonus which we all enjoyed at night. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We certainly hope to be able to visit again. Thank you!

We had a great stay here! Very close to the beach and plenty of room for everyone. The amenities were great. The host was very responsive and helpful to our questions and requests.

The property is beautiful… there is a view from every window and balcony. You can see the ocean and the bay… unique for Galveston Island. There is a pond directly outside and with the fountain, which kept mosquitos away. The kitchen is good for entertaining a family, and there is a formal and outdoor dining area. I would suggest bringing a bed pillow, high quality pan, and extra roll of paper towels. Alex was nice and responsive. The resort is family oriented and the quiet was well worth the 20 minute drive. We will stay with this host again!

We had such a great time in Galveston. Schana’s place was spotless, beautifully set up, and located in a peaceful, private area with everything we needed close by. The beach was just a short walk away, which made it even better. Schana was incredibly responsive. For instance, when we noticed that the beach towels were missing, this was handled right away. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable. We left feeling very happy with our stay and would absolutely book again.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The house is perfect for a family beach trip and Antonio was an excellent host - great communication with all the details needed up front. The ADA beach access was very close and easier to navigate with a wagon than others we’ve used. The place has comfy furnishings and we felt right at home! Specifically, the sofa, beds and linens nice and blackout curtains. We found everything we needed at the cottage: Everything needed for the resort pools and beach (adult and kid beach towels, sand toys, beach chairs, wagon, outdoor shower, etc.). Kitchen: a variety of skillets, pots, and pans, baking sheets, cooking utensils, cups, nice dual coffee machine for k-cup or a whole drip pot. Bathrooms: tidy and stocked with towels, travel toiletries, makeup removal wash cloths Bonus: toys and books for kids, TVs (bunk room, living room, downstairs patio), first aid kit, washer/dryer and deck/rocking chairs to watch the herons and turtles in the lagoon!

Loved our stay at the cottage, actually felt much larger than space appeared in pics. Enjoyed the evening on the deck, plenty of cooking pots/pans/utensils, but also enjoyed restaurants close by. Beach just a couple blocks, very easy walk. Ron & Tony were amazing hosts, made sure we knew how to access property and even recommended a great lunch spot for us to try! Highly recommend!

We had a Great time in Galveston. After taking in the sights, we felt right at home, to rest for our next adventure. The location of this Airbnb was about a 10 Minute walk to the Beach which we took advantage of.

This was our second time to stay at Sarah’s place and we’d just always feel so comfortable and at home. Sarah is a great host. Always kind to communicate, responsive and helpful! The accommodations are perfect for our little family. Our favorite part is the downstairs bar area. We spend most of our time there and really enjoy the sea breeze and relaxation. Thank you Sarah, for another great stay.

We had a hiccup upon arrival but our hosts were very responsive and helpful! The beds were comfortable and the house just felt like home. It was an easy walk to the beach for both the kids and adults! I recommend giving this place a try if you are down around the area!

We had an amazing stay! The house was very cute and had a lot of beautiful details. Barbara left muffins and fresh flowers and everything was clean. They had beach towels and chairs/toys for children available if needed. The beds were super comfortable as well! We will definitely be staying here again

This was a fantastic experience,nice place with plenty of room.we were able to meet the owners and they were super cool people.ive stayed at many places across America and this one stands out for several reasons but above all it's the attention to DETAIL!!! these folks have thought of everything,I've never stayed somewhere where I didn't need anything extra.From things like shampoo and razors,coffee to the beach toys,chairs boogie boards and bikes.we were super impressed with all the small stuff that made our weekend that much less stressful.10/10 will return and do recommend.Thanks guys for having us!!!!

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for our family. We would 100% stay here again. The neighborhood felt safe and it was the perfect location for the activities we wanted to do. This was the cleanest and most organized Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The only issue we had was initially getting into the place, but once get down the locks and doors - it was easy. For 4 people and 1 dog, I cannot in good faith say I had anything other than an amazingly memorable time. The cottage was exceptionally clean and cozy, perfect for all of us. Fishing was amazing along the canal and watching ships go by was such a relaxing experience. 5/5 all around, could not have asked for a better little vacation!

Super nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Beautiful home very well kept. Great selection of board games inside the home and located really close to the beach. Had wonderful stay and felt right at home!

This is our second time staying here. he beach house was perfect for our family. The space had 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The backyard was wonderful for our furry friend. We will return.

Linda & Gregg were great! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and extras. Very clean. She made it very easy to extend our stay. Awesome hosts!!

Cute and quaint little beach house. Very close to the beach! Amenities as listed. Perfect little home away from home. It is walking distance from the beach, but I will say this tidbit- if you’re traveling with kids (we have three littles)- renting a golf cart would be helpful so you’re not lugging kids and all the beach gear in/out of the car to/from the beach all day! We couldn’t walk with all kids, in the heat, with all our beach stuff. Would definitely recommend & return. Thanks, Shiva!

The home was very nice and it was nice that it was right by the ocean

Decent place to stay at a very reasonable price. It has the charm (and quirks) of an older cottage that has been fixed up. It was clean and well stocked with the essentials, and parking was easy. The bikes we saw on the property had flat tires -- not an issue for us because the weather wasn't amenable to biking -- but I'd confirm they are functional if you plan on using them. Overall a thumbs up.

We stayed at Shell Cottage for Memorial Day weekend. I had given up on staying at air bnb’s last year but after the wonderful stay at Shell Cottage, I have faith in air bnb’s once again. The property is very clean. The host is detailed and very response. We enjoyed every day. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations. Shell cottage is our first choice for our future Galveston trips.
