The home takes you back in time with its salvaged ship lap ceilings and original hardwood floors, yet all the modern amenities you expect have been added, making this Victorian-era gem a perfect getaway. Two outdoor porches are ideal for catching the breeze and watching the world go by. Inside, a bold tropical theme awaits you.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This was truly a bay getaway before digital games and internet. There are two bookcases with hard bound books, card tables, and reading lamps. There is TV with WIFI and internet, a ductless HVAC system and a large 100'x 125' lot This cottage is very suitable for work away from home environment. A separate table and 2 office chairs are available for a work area that can be closed off from the rest of the house during the day.

Like its postal neighbor, Bacliff, the area contains a diversity of homes and inhabitants. It might not be unusual to hear the neighbor's rooster crow midday. It is not on the water, or the beach, but it's country style near the Galveston Bay.
