It is perfect for exploring Hamburg or for cycling or walking. Lüneburg and the Lüneburg Heath are also not far away. There is a bus line to Hamburg-Harburg or Winsen Luhe. 5 km from the Hoopte ferry terminal and 5 minutes' walk to the beautiful Seeve nature reserve.

The Elbe Cycle Path and Elbe Dike are about 200 meters away. Two bicycles are available, free of cost.

Very centrally located, it is less than 10 kilometers to the city center of Lüneburg or approx. 30 kilometers to Lüneburg Heath.
