Chester's Lodge is absolutely stunning! Everything about it is so beautifully designed and built, inside and out, and the layout is absolutely perfect. The wonderfully comfy bedrooms downstairs, and the amazing open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas upstairs, opening out onto the beautiful decking areas, complete with BBQ and firepit for those endlessly relaxing evenings sitting outside enjoying the peace and quiet of the absolutely gorgeous surroundings! Chester's Lodge is immaculately finished, the kitchen is a thing of beauty, the bathrooms are, too, and everywhere is spotlessly clean and welcoming. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the lakes and fells, and it's the perfect place to come home to at the end of a fantastic day's exploring! Sarah and Stephen are amazing hosts, and I can't wait to come back again as soon as possible! Thank you for the blissful week! 😊

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was easy to get to a variety of places and the communication was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good with instant hot water. It was nice to have an enclosed yard for the dog. The stairs are a bit tricky but manageable. The cottage is just off the road but traffic was light in late May. We found great places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive. Easy check in & out.

We had a fabulous few days. Great base to see the lakes from, beautiful walks. Sally was lovely, friendly, welcoming & informative. Manor House pub / restaurant in Oxen Park was a delight to find. We’ll be back.

Myself and my dogs had the nicest stay at Lynn’s place and we were so sad to leave. The place was amazing, clean, tidy and had everything we needed even extra throws for the dogs. There was also some lovely local goodies and eggs left too. Lynn gave me lots of info about places to visit in the area and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. I’d been supposed to be staying with a friend who couldn’t make it in the end and I was worried as I’d booked an activity I couldn’t take my dogs too but Lynn went above and beyond and found a safe space for them to chill whilst I went and was around to keep an eye on them for me. There are lots of gorgeous sheep, goats, chickens and ducks at the smallholding who were all so friendly and Lynn left food for me to feed them whenever I wanted which was lovely. I felt so at home there, didn’t want to leave and had the loveliest break. I cannot wait to book another trip there so I can go back and would highly recommend Lynn’s place to anyone.
