Newly built mountain cabin in scenic surroundings with quiet location and beautiful mountain views. Proximity to cross-country skiing system and hiking trails and with alpine opportunities in Grövelfjäll, 5 minutes away with car. Idre with its two alpine areas is just over 35 min away. The home has all the comforts you need for a good mountain vacation with three bedrooms, modern kitchen, fireplace and sauna. Note that bed linens and towels are not provided but are brought by guest. Please read all the information before booking.

The 2-bed cottage is located in Storsätern, Grövelsjöfjällen right next to Grövlan. On the farm there is also a 3-bed cottage for rent and the host couple Björn and Hanna also live there. The cottage includes a kitchen, dining area, sleeping alcove, armchairs and a bathroom with a shower. The cottage is about 22 square meters and a maximum of 2 people (regardless of age). The cabin is booked at least 3 nights and bed linen and towels are included. Contact us if the calendar shows fewer than 3 nights to book in order.

Cozy homey cottage in Idre with wood-fired hot tub, free WiFi, close to fishing waters, close to golf, snowmobile trails, 8 km to Idre mountain where there are many activities, the cottage is suitable for 4 people but there are 5 beds. Microwave, stove, oven, kettle, coffee maker, fridge with freezer, pillows, duvets, bed linen and towels included, hot tub is rented by the host if you want to bathe, let us know when you arrive to take a few hours to fire up and the host will take care of everything. This cozy and animal-free cabin ( 30 sqm) is located in Sågliden next to Grövelsjöfjällen and close to the Norwegian border. The cottage is in the middle of the quiet and quiet forest with alpacas as the nearest neighbor. Here you may relax and have only the nature around you. It is close to cross country tracks , alpine slopes like Grövelfjäll ( within a few kilometers) and Idre mountains ( 3.5 miles) , scooter tracks and mountain hiking. A small grocery store is in Storsätern about 6 km away.

Here you can really enjoy the tranquility and nature combined with all the activities found in the mountain world. A 5 min walk will take you to the 10 km longitudinal track and 2 km away you can go downhill at the family-friendly Lövåsliften. Take a hot sauna or relax on the large west facing terrace with stunning evening sun and mountain views after a lovely day out in the mountain nature.

Cozy log cabin with forest and nature reserve as the nearest neighbor. Nice location in Västsätern in fabulously beautiful Grövelsjön. Cross-country trails around the corner and short distance to downhill skiing, hiking trails, mountain bakery, tourist station and grocery store, etc. In this cabin there is everything needed to be able to enjoy between daily adventures in nature, such as sauna and hot tub as well as fireplace.

Welcome to our cozy cottage in beautiful Grövelsjön and Björnliden mountain village. Enjoy fantastic hiking in summer and very nice cross-country trails right near the cottage in winter. Alpine slopes can be found in Lövåsen, Grövelfjäll (within a few kilometres) and Idre fjäll (about 35 km). Kalfjället is within walking distance and offers fantastic skiing or snowmobiling in winter and hiking in summer.

Secluded Cottage - Close to Village; Easy Life Close to Nature

Wonderful, authentic and very functional cabin that has everything you need. Dry wood (the pine smells awesome), good wood processing equipment, well functional and intuitive stoves (if you have experience of wood fired stoves, and if you don’t there are good descriptions) made it easy to stay warm and dry, even in -20oC. I arrived with -10 and had the cabin at +24oC in just a few hours. The cabin can get too hot quickly, so use the firewood with care. I only used the wood fired stove for cooking during the week I stayed so I can’t comment on the gas stove. In early February, the sun was a bit too low to supply my computer with much power (only a couple hours worth each day). 5G connectivity via Telia made internet smooth though. Bring a head lamp and working gloves (and candles, toilet paper and matches). The owner of the friendly reindeer in the pen let me know they love ”knäckebröd” (Leksands preffered…).

Fresh and pleasant accommodation in a cottage in Idre. Good with kitchen equipment, luxurious with two bathrooms and sauna. Comfortable beds and good storage space. A bit dull area as there is still construction work and the gravel around the houses was coarse and the area was perceived as cold. Unfortunately, a little problem with the heat in the house but we got nice help from the host. However, it lowers the rating a little because we had to put on a little extra, especially in the morning when the temperature dropped during the night. Close to Idre centre, Nipfjället etc.

Absolutely wonderful cottage that matches the description very well. We had 10 people and everyone felt like we had plenty of room. The cottage is spacious with many bedrooms and lovely living rooms. Very nice in combined kitchen, dining area and living room overlooking peaceful nature. Great with several bathrooms, sauna and patio. Possibility for charging an electric car. Very good host. Highly recommended and we would love to come back.
