We stayed 5 nights at the apartment - clean, comfortable and well equipped. The area is very quiet and had a gated driveway for the car (electric charging available if required). This is a converted basement apartment and therefore there is inevitably some lack of natural light and some footfall from the occupants above. However, it was quiet after 10.30 or so and not noisy early in the morning. We had a very nice stay and would recommend.

Lovely place to stay next to a very interesting rural pub with friendly clientele and food! I thought the hosts were very responsive, generous and thoughtful and would recommend it to anyone.

I’ve stayed at this property several times now as I needed to be back near my childhood home. Any issues are always sorted very promptly and it has been literally a home from home for me. Thank you so much. I’ve loved each time I’ve stayed at the Old Red King.

We love to stay here when we come up to Formby. Feels so comfortable, well situated. The extra touches are very welcome. After our long journey, there are always nice things in the fridge for us to eat and drink on our arrival. John is there if you need any help, but it’s very much your private apartment while you are there. We now regard it as our ‘home’ in Formby.

Lovely place. Great for exploring the Chester area. Jo was super helpful and clear with instructions/recommendations. She was also really responsive and friendly. The place was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Really appreciate that toddlers/small children were thought of with the built in stair gates, highchair, travel cot, bath toys etc. Comfy beds and good shower pressure also! Would highly recommend this place and I think Jo is a brilliant host

This was a lovely spacious house with lots of rooms to spread out socially. The pool was the most amazing feature. The host met us at the property to show us how the pool worked and to give us the lockbox code. They were friendly. They let us know we could message them if we needed anything, then they left us to our own privacy. You might need to bring a spare towel so you have one for the pool and one for the shower. Tea and coffee were provided but you need to make sure you have some milk with you. There was toilet roll, And kitchen roll. Washing up liquid. You might want to bring a box of tissues for General use and some multipurpose cleaning wet wipes. We had a lovely stay and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely place to stay, both Christopher and Paul were very welcoming and easy to contact if necessary. The house had everything we needed, the kids loved the hot tub! Nice, peaceful place to stay that was near our family/attractions we wanted to visit. Would stay again

Lovely house. Super clean, hot tub was great and the pool table was a great addition. Secure paddock for the dog to run around and the host was amazing moving the sheep and alpacas into the far paddock to accommodate. Would book again.

Adele’s immaculate home was very modern, fully stocked, with a strong shower and comfortable bed on a quiet street with private parking. Really enjoyed our stay and even enjoyed sitting in the peaceful back garden enjoying the sun.

We have really enjoyed our stay the house is beautiful. However we had two small children with us and there was no stair gate. Apart from that we can't fault it at all, we had such brilliant time. And we would book again if we are visiting Chester.

Warren was an absolutely incredible host, excellent communication throughout the entire process and provided us with clear instructions and recommendations for both parking and local food locations. The place is beautiful, looks just like the photos, one of the beds is slightly smaller than expected but definitely suitable for a smaller person. We stayed as a group for one night and found it easy to access and utilise all the facilities. The space was clean and felt safe. Warren was flexible to us checking in later and was responsive throughout. Overall, I would massively recommend! We loved our stay!

We went to stay for the weekend at Manchester and Dan’s place was the perfect place as it’s nearby the AO arena. It was exactly the same as the photos here and he was very responsive as well. Overall, we had a great stay 👍
