Waterfront holiday rentals in Bird Rock, San Diego

This was one of the best AirBnB experiences that we have had in quite a while. The condo was just as described. The area is very walkable and there are enough local businesses to keep you busy for a long time. By car, the area attractions are all less than 20 min away, and Sea World is only 5 min away. The laundry allows you to pay by phone so you don’t have to scrounge for quarters. The one note is that it was very difficult to park in the garage and we only have a midsize station wagonesque car. If we had a full sized SUV, it would have been a problem.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Tamara’s Airbnb. The property was exactly as described—beautifully decorated touches, and best of all, it included access to a private beach that felt like our own hidden getaway. We had originally planned to stay at the Gaylord Hotel but stumbled upon this listing—and we’re so glad we did. Choosing Tamara’s place turned out to be the best decision. The spacious layout, multiple comfortable beds, and well-appointed bathrooms offered a level of comfort and privacy that far exceeded what a hotel could provide. When we weren’t relaxing on the private beach, we explored the charming local town and rented electric bikes from IB Bikes, which was a perfect way to take in the area’s attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, stylish, and well-located retreat!

Perfect place to stay for business in downtown and close to family living in San Diego and southern Orange County area.

Perfect location if you have small kids! The park is right out your front door with a calm beach attached. We were able to fit our inflatable toddler bed in the room no problem. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location as a jumping off point for our getaway! The views were breathtaking and the location was ideal! We were glad to have local coffee, fun restaurants, and beach access minutes away. Thank you!

We loved this place. even though it was cloudy and windy, the porch was our favorite place to be! We watched Sea Lions, seagulls, pelicans and surfers during our morning coffee and dusk wine sunsets. Location was also great, within 15 to 20 minutes we were able to explore so much during the 3 days we were there. If you can only do a couple of things I suggest spending a couple of hours at the Cabrillo National Monument $20 valid for 7 days, you can hike, visit the monument, light house, tide pools, visitor center, The view is spectacular! Then head to Old Town and ride the 2 hours trolley - hop on and hop off or enjoy the full ride. Mexican food galore or stop by Little Italy for some yummy pizza! It was our first time in San Diego, but we will be back for sure, and hopefully Rick's place will be available! also a bonus, you get to use the garage!

We had a great stay! It was close to the beach and easy to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Bradley was very responsive and helpful!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb right on Mission Beach! The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the sand and perfect for a relaxing, chill vibe. The house was super clean, beautifully decorated, and very kid-friendly, which made it perfect for our family. The host, Evan was incredibly accommodating, even with some last-minute changes we had. He checked in to see if we needed anything and was always responsive and kind throughout our stay. We really appreciated the great communication and hospitality. Overall, we absolutely loved the experience and would definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location. Michael’s home is where you want to be. Less than a block to the bay and a short beautiful block to walk to the ocean. The beds were so comfortable after a long day at the beach. The showers were great and never ran out of hot water. As a family of six, we found the space spacious yet homey. It was our first time to San Diego and we hope to stay here again, hopefully for two weeks next time. Thank you, Michael!

Perfect spot for a lil beach getaway. One block to the ocean beach surf park and plenty of stuff within a ten min walk from the house. Great location and the house had everything needed. Clean and tidy. Highly recommend

The accomodations at Jacqui's place were very comfortable, has everything you need, and INCREDIBLE location! We loved hanging out on the deck and turning the corner to visit the beach multiple times per day. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying here! It is very close to Mission Bay, Mission Beach, and Mission Point. We were able to easily walk anywhere we wanted to go. Very comfy cozy house, great selection of pots and pans. The bed is extremely comfortable! The garage space easily fit our Honda Pilot with room to exit on both sides. We would definitely stay here again!

Such a beautiful place, very well taken care of. Absolutely perfect for my family including my baby, two toddlers and two dogs. Adam was a great host and very responsive with recommendations. The perfect location for all of our needs. We loved it and will absolutely be saving this house for future stays!

The place was perfect and extremely family friendly. My kids loved the place and they are not kidding about the house being stocked with everything you need to cook with! A great stay for a family vacation of all ages. With two small children and the grandparents, the layout of the home was so needed with one master on the first level, and 2 bedrooms upstairs so we could spread out a bit. The house was spotless and organized. For being so convienent, it was also quiet and comfortable.

Our family of four stayed for a week. It’s a great area away from crowds. The place has everything you would need. A plus to have beach gear to borrow during our stay, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and sand toys. We had a small/mid size suv we were able to fit in garage, we had to get a little creative on how to get in and out of the car but it was not an issue. I would book this place again, you can’t beat the location if you want to be in the quieter section of mission bay. Communication from host was great.

It was a wonderful stay. We were there for a week and it was perfect for 2 people. Amazing location, between the beach and the bay, as well as close to restaurants and bars. Neighbours were friendly and the whole experience was fantastic!

Our hosts were very friendly and super responsive. Check in was easy and parking is free and right out front. The space was clean and we had everything we needed. Kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils, keurig maker with coffee pods, nice dishware. Everything worked and the unit was clean. The area was quiet and we enjoyed walking out a few steps to the bay. I especially watching the water sports on the bay. Great family area with boardwalk which was perfect for biking and walking. Mission Beach was a 15 minute walk and we rented bikes and loved riding by the ocean. Thank you!

Location of this Condo is right by Crystal Pier and surrounding restaurants. It served it's purpose for my family and I. It was myself, mother, 4 teenage kids and 6 month baby. We walked the board walk before relaxing at the beach, baby fell sleep during the walk so we took him to where other family was already posted for beach day. When he woke up, we did not have a bottle but luckily the condo unit was 5 minutes back up to the room and back. With a 6 month or infant toddler age your going to have to be carrying around necessities the location of this unit minimized alot of this. Konos was a great place, they serve breakfast all day which is a win for me. There is a bar called The Hideaway, didn't get a chance to go in but they are very busy which in turns means they have to restock their supplies. This is done early morning so workers and their equipment can be heard, this did not bother us but maybe concern for those with good hearing. Our stay was great I definitely recommend.

Awesome place on the beach! Being able to open the screen doors to feel the breeze and hear the ocean made us excited to come back from exploring the area. Easy to get to the car in/out when needed. Beach access directly at the bottom of the apartment, using all the provided beach accessories Nick provided in the well equipped apartment. Plenty of bars and restaurants walkable, or even stores to grab a bottle of wine to stay in. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would definitely book again for our next San Diego trip.

This IS the place to stay on Mission Beach. We have rented quite a few places there over the years and this one was THE BEST! Perfect location, beautiful interior, clean, modern, convenient. We will definitely be back and will recommend to other Zonies!
