We booked Sorcha’s place last minute over Paddy’s Day weekend. She was an absolute star getting the place ready in such short notice. We were a family of 4 plus two grandparents. It’s a great location for travelling around and perfect space for families with young children. Great communicate and easy to find

We’ve been traveling Europe for 6 months, and this was our all-time favorite stay! We got to spend Christmas at the cottage, and Pat and Mary made us feel right at home. We were greeted with scones and fires and Christmas decorations, and both Pat and Mary went out of their way to look after us and provide wonderful, local recommendations. We enjoyed visiting them at their bookshop-cafe and getting to know them throughout our stay. The cottage is incredibly cozy - comfortable beds and couches with two, large fireplaces - and the location itself was ideal. The kitchen is very well-supplied, and the showers were always warm. We could get into Galway city easily, or head deeper into Connemara to explore the Irish landscapes. Oughterard is a lovely town, and it had great restaurants and grocery shops and (of course) the bookshop-cafe! Highly recommend!

Kathleen’s place was a great base for the Connemara portion of our journey. There were several recommendations for restaurants right in town with very good food, and the house comfortably fit our four guests. The house is right on a major road, but we didn’t have any issues finding lulls in the traffic to enter/exit the property. Kathleen was also very helpful and accommodating through the whole experience!

WOW! This is by far our favorite stay out of my wife and I’s trip through Europe. This slice of heaven is just that… heavenly. It was clean, stocked with little amenities and treats and beautifully decorated. It felt like a rural serene sanctuary!!! Anne was so sweet and communicative - she made sure we were taken care of! Couldn’t recommend this stay and host enough!
