Vidyun's hill home in Dhamas, overlooks the snow clad Himalayan peaks of Trishul and Nanda Devi, with pine forest walks, bird watching and occasional sightings of leopard, pine martins, jackals in the forest behind the house. The house has 2 (two) "ensuite" bedrooms with private bathrooms. We do not give out the two bedrooms separately. Each bedroom is equipped to accommodate up to 3 guests. Even if a single guest books the entire cottage is kept free so u have EXCLUSIVE use.
“The cottage is even lovelier in life than in the photos here on Airbnb. We took the kachcha raasta by mistake and it was a great drive (and also shaved off some time). The cottage has lots of linen and since we were travelling ahead after Dhamas, the washing machine was a blessing. We spent most of our time on the lookout style balcony - the view is incredible! The caretaker, Anandji was very helpful and his food was simple but delish. We'd suggest you stock up on your way in though and ask for him to shop in advance. We carried milk, Dahi and chocolates from Delhi and we're glad we did that. 4G works perfectly so you don't really need WiFi. There's a lovely hike from behind the property that's a definite must do. Sanjeev, the host, was constantly in touch via mobile and was very helpful with things to do locally as well as directions on the way up. We'll be going back again for sure and would definitely recommend Vidyuns.”
Fully furnished Cottage located on a beautiful mountain with a 360 view of the valley. Come and experience the serenity of Kumaon hills on this tastefully built property.
“Amazing place to spend holidays - top of the hill with super scenic view. The local manager Kailash was extremely helpful - he cooked great food and helped in every aspect. Only one scope of improvement is the approach road to the property - you have to climb a lot (although Kailash helps with luggage). Also there is a very small parking space so need to make arrangements if you travel with a big 12-seater tempo traveller. Baring this, net net it was a phenomenal experience - would love to stay at the property again and highly recommend this to people travelling to Mukteshwar”
Sandhya is a quaint village hut in the Himalayas. It was restored from an original structure that is believed to be more more than 60-70 years old. As a result, it has a unique charm about it- little quirks that give us a glimpse how local people lived here and their sensibilities. For example, the door heights are always very low- just above 4 ft- so do mind your heads when you enter! Sandhya offers a chance to experience life in an authentic mountain home.
“The Sandhya homestay is a beautiful place to stay. If you love peace and silence of hill station, the Sandhya homestay at Satkhol is a right choice for you. The stay has a single hut with 1 living room, 1 bed room, 1 kichen and washroom with all the basic amenities. The stay has cook for your anytime need ginger tea or dinner, but they only stay at sandhya till the evening. After that, in the whole ddarkness of night your loved one, silent trees and starry sky are the companion of your wonderful experience of life without digital entertainment. You can cook for your own taste, for this caretaker of the stay will provide you fresh vegetables. But if you dont have vegetarian apetite at all, then you need to struggle for non-veg, as like the other remote hill stations, the place also have less availability of chicken, but you can easily get the breakfast time boiled egg or Egg curray at dinner... The best thing of the stay is mesmerizing view of Himalayas, at footstep, there is dark eye soothing green Pine forest, and parallel to horizon, the snow capped ranges of himalayan peaks started. The major peaks which are easily visible from here are, Mt. Trishul, Mt. Nandadevi, Mt. Panchachuli etc. The outside landscape and architecture of the little hut will definitely attract you to do not leave the place, rather convince you to come another time... .”
