A great place to get away. The boys enjoyed being able to walk right down to the river to go trout fishing. I enjoyed sitting on the back porch reading a book. The weather was not as nice as what we would have liked but plenty of board games to keep everyone busy and off their phones. Hearing the rain on the tin roof porch was so peaceful. Look forward to try to come back and stay in the place closer to the river they have just built. This was a quick trip, we did not even try the hot tub!

Really felt right at home. Had all the essentials we could have needed and loved the hot tub and hammock additions. Perfect location, and even the trails within the area were great. Louis was so responsive and helpful with everything

If you are looking for a quiet, well-equipped location where there is room for everyone, you’ve found your place. While a little quirky, the layout has all sorts of nooks & crannies for you to enjoy… multiple porches, multiple fireplaces, multiple seating arrangements. The views are just beautiful & the house is cozy & well-equipped. We were a family group of all adults in for graduation at App State. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the house more. Ann was a great communicator & we would definitely purely stay here again. There are a lot of steps involved to enjoy everything but also many options on the main floor of the house if you have mobility issues (we had older grandparents in our party and no young children). Ann’s notes about local shops & restaurants were detailed & helpful. Great stay!

we completely enjoyed ourself at Kendall's red tin roof cabin. it's close to Banner Elk it's close to beautiful golf courses and we went to some waterfall swimming holes everything was close the view was fantastic and we will be back again

My wife and I, along with our daughter, her husband, and their 3 young boys had a very enjoyable stay. The children particularly liked the game barn. We all enjoyed the cool mountain air and the peaceful vibes while sitting on the outside swing along with making s'mores over the fire pit, and enjoying a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The view of Grandfather Mountain from the deck is amazing. Driving up to and down from the house was a bit challenging, with very steep climbs and hairpin switchback turns, but the view from the house at the top was well worth the drive. All things considered, we all had a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend staying here

Hands down, one of my favorite airbnb! Spectacular views, beautifully decorated space, awesome sitting areas. We were in town celebrating the wedding of my college roommate's daughter, and the space was perfect for three couples. Can't say enough great things about it. Brian was incredibly responsive as a host. The location is a very short drivable distance from Blowing Rock, not that you may ever want to leave the airbnb. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying at Rivers Edge! Cutest little cabin with the best view! We got to see a fox across the river looking for some food and a family of deer crossing the river this morning before we left! Cabin was stocked with everything you need and the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will be back and refer all our friends to stay at this mountain paradise!

Cabin was found as described. Enjoyed the hot showers and comfortable bed (king). Unfortunately we had a rainy weekend stay, and wished that the hot tub was under an attached awning to keep the towels dry. Other than that we appreciated the thoughtful touches in the cabin, quiet neighborhood, the deer out back in the mornings, as well as the robin that knocked on sliding glass door for attention. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

I really enjoyed staying here in the mountains the location was amazing (very close to downtown banner elk). Michael was very friendly and also helped in making our trip an enjoyable time by recommending a lot of great options. We will definitely be back soon!

My family and I enjoyed this quiet mountain get away!! Definitely the best choice for the kids first time up in the mountains!! Will for sure return again!!

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Enjoyed a stroll by the pond and watched the frogs and a chipmunks frolic. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely furnished with comfortable seating and kitchen at all the needed amenities. Will definitely return again soon.

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We fished directly off the deck and could see the fish from there also. We attempted to find the steps down to the water a few homes over but we weren’t able to locate them. We loved that the home was back off the road but still very close to town and many local places. The neighborhood was very quiet and well maintained. Everything exceeded our expectations for the home and location!! The only suggestion I can give is for a WELCOME binder with lists of local restaurants and other attractions and clear instructions to the steps down to the water. Also, include a checkout checklist. And maybe a book for all visitors to sign and leave a word about their visit and where they are visiting from! Just ideas I have seen in other past rental homes! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave!

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin in the woods. Very quiet and peaceful, just what we needed after a long day at our workshop. Will definitely stay here again.

We only stayed for one night but I wish I had booked the entire weekend. It was quiet and had everything we needed. I’m not a fan of snow sports, so you won’t find me here in ski season, the drive is a climb and I can see it being tough during that time. I would like to stay again sometime and make use of the fire pit if I have more time (p.s. be sure to pickup firewood on your way in) because the setup looks enjoyable.

Stayed here for work. The pictures don’t do it justice. The view is absolutely stunning. So peaceful laying in the hammock at night watching the humming birds and listening to nature. I felt right at home. The place was so clean as well which I really loved. Can’t wait to visit again:)

This little cabin was the perfect place for our baby moon! We spent so much time just hanging out on the porch reading, using the fire pit and enjoying the view, it’s really peaceful & scenic. We also cooked in the kitchen quite a bit & it had everything we needed! Our little Cavapoo loved the stay as well! The driveway, although steep, wasn’t an issue and we drive a 2WD car :) all in all, had a great experience with the cabin and our host!

My husband and I had Beautiful stay! Super quiet and peaceful! Very clean, organized and tastefully decorated. We hope to comeback when it snows!

This was by far the most beautiful place we have ever been too. The views are of epic proportions the cabin was clean and comfortable. We didnt want to leave. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet getaway there is none better. The location is a good distance from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg or pigeon forge but thats what we were looking for, for our honeymoon. Suba's is excellent dining if looking for a wonderful meal.

Our time spent in this lovely home was perfect and peaceful! Everything was as described and the pictures just don’t do it justice! It was, without a doubt, the cleanest property we have ever stayed in! Communication was easy and quick. Take time to walk around the property and on the nearby trails as outlined by the host, they were just so beautiful and enjoyable. Plan plenty of time for porch sitting, it was just the best! I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property. It’s good for the soul!

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The home was beautiful and felt so peaceful. We actually fed blueberries to a group of deer off the deck. Will definitely stay here again.

The cabin is even more beautiful than the photos convey. Very private and peaceful. Well stocked coffee / tea bar. Well stocked bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. An absolutely gorgeous place to get away and unwind.

This place cannot have any cuter and we really lucked out with the weather. It was like arriving into a winter wonderland. With a short drive to Beach Mountain ski resort and a worthwhile drive to Banner elk for some amazing restaurants. We definitely recommend this day for anybody trying to spend some time in the mountains of North Carolina
