Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bedong

The place is located at the Marina in Penang - a nice spot of its own with restaurants, entertainment and a small mall. The apartment is equipped and suitable for short term and outgoing guests enjoying a marina lifestyle with waterfront, bars and restaurants. The place has a spacious balcony to enjoy the view over the marina site and its strolling visitors. Some construction work has started for creating an additional island across the marina with a slight visual impact on the view from the apartment.

Nice place to stay if u need a quick gateway

The apartment is part of the Straits Quay complex which meant there were plenty of restaurants and a supermarket very close by. There is very easy access to other parts of Penang using Grab , or the local bus service . The restaurants and bars in the complex means that it can get noisy in the evenings but we did not find this disturbing particularly if the windows were closed. The swimming pool on the same floor is a real bonus. Wendy and Sharon always responded very quickly to any requests and were easy to deal with. This was our second stay in an apartment hosted by them.

Good place to stay, but furniture and TV a bit outdated

I had four weeks at Daniel and Grace's place. It was so beautiful looking out at the water and the location for groceries, food etc was spot on. The hosts are both very proactive and very friendly. The bed was super comfy (and I'm a bad sleeper), so I found that really good. I was often the only one in the pool, and it was so refreshing as I found the heat hard to handle. Would stay again if visiting Penang in future.

Excellent place to stay at. Exactly as described, clean and easy to access. Tesco just across the street, 24 hours convenient store downstairs. Great services and quick response from the host! Very helpful in many ways. Will stay again for sure.

Nice place, very clean and very spacious. Swimming pool view from balcony Was happy to have a filter in the kitchen which is very important. Coffee, milo and biscuits provided thank you very much. The dish wash liquid soap was filled in the shower bath container. Needs labelling. The lighting can be brighter very poor lighting especially in the rooms and bathrooms. Otherwise all was good and finally my little poodle also enjoyed the stay.

The place is clean and have the basic items. Love how there is ventilation fan in the bathrooms to keep them dry. Host is responsive when I encountered issue with the washing machine.

Sea view, pool view, garden view: all is included in the spacious comfortable apartment. Nice balcony! Within walking distance you find the JJ food court, the Claypot restaurant and many others and last but not least the Tanjung Bungah (day & night) market. Bus stop to go downtown or to the Lotus mall just around the corner. In the evenings check out the Laguna Beach Bar with food, drinks - nice cocktails - and a show/live music program - until midnight only. Veronica and Danny are excellent hosts - lots of info and tips. Don’t miss the Entopia butterfly park!

I stayed in one of Wendy & Sharon's apartments for 6 weeks - had lived in Penang previously so my decision to stay at Straits Quay was well thought through. The 101 bus runs from the Clan Jetties bus depot all the way up to the National Park, via the Komtar bus depot. So super handy for everything and the bus stops in both directions are a short walk from Straits Quay. The 102 bus from the airport stops right outside Straits Quay, but I arranged an airport pick-up via W&S and that worked really well. The apartment I stayed in exactly matched the photos, was stylishly decorated, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen equipment and utensils - when I needed a hand blender for a daily food regimen and asked W&S if I could borrow one, they arranged delivery the next day. Wonderful and caring service. Couldn't fault anything! I'd have liked a sea view of course but had known this apartment was on the other side of the building when I booked it .... so as expected! The method to open door a bit harder for me , other than that the rest is perfect

Ideal beachfront location. Walk out the lower lobby of the building and you're on the beach. Both the bedroom and the living room have their own balconies facing the ocean, so I spent a lot of time sitting on those balconies listening to the waves crash against the shore. A very spacious apartment with a very comfortable bed and a brand new mini-fridge that kept things very cold. Veronica was always available via text anytime I had any questions. Restaurants were directly across the street and more restaurants and shops were a short walking distance from the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment, it's location and Veronica, the landlord. If I ever return to Penang, I'll stay here once again. Thank you for your hospitality, Veronica!
