Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Towards the lake, there is a hot tub, outdoor shower, lounge sofas, sun loungers and a dining area. There's room for everyone here! Interior renovated in a modern style. Open-plan kitchen and living room with dining area, wine cooler, fireplace and several seating areas. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed. Additional sleeping places are available in the loft.

Located along road 202. The cottage is warm-boned so also visits in winter time are working well. Full kitchen with running water, outhouse and outdoor shower. In the living room, there is a fireplace for rough evenings. Large nature garden with small bustling creek in the back. Parking. Nice bike/walking paths as well as opportunities for swimming, fishing and boating.

The apartment is located directly over a restaurant/ nightclub which means loud noises during the opening hours.

With a step ladder, you get up to the cozy sleeping loft that is equipped with two adjacent 90cm beds. Warmly welcome.

Do not forget to walk along the viewpoint and enjoy the surroundings. The cottage is close to the National Nature Park Tiveden, where you can enjoy beautiful walks. Or visit in Karlsborg the fortress, minigolf, the Göta Canal or Forsvik Bruk where you can see 600 years of Swedish industrial history.

The apartment shares the building with two other units. Perfect for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. One bed is a sofa bed, which may not suit two adults. Feel free to book our floating sauna on the lake – 500 SEK per session. Relax and enjoy the unique tranquility by the water!

Fantastic mill with history from the 16th century. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher induction hob, oven and microwave, fridge/freezer. In the small TV room there is a smart TV. Upstairs it was a carpentry workshop which is now a modern TV room with wifi, amplifier,Chromecast, speaker system and projector. The shower is located in the basement. The balcony facing the sheep garden has garden furniture and spa baths. Woodstove in the kitchen.Sauna is available.

Lake house

Welcome to our little summer paradise. For many years we have had this cabin as our "breathing hole". Nowadays we are retired and live on the farm from which this plot is cut off. The cottage is located by Lake Viken, its own jetty and small rowing boat are included. A guest house with several beds and equally nice views but without convenience is also available. Private shallow beach with beautiful sunset. We live 4 km from the cabin.

Här kan ni koppla av och njuta av lugnet, bada, fiska, promenera, cykla, plocka svamp. Huset ligger mittemellan Sveriges största sjöar - Vättern och Vänern så det finns många sevärdheter som ligger i närheten att besöka och njuta av.
