Crown Lodge is an 18th Century stone lodge built in 1736. Originally a pub now converted into an elegant and spacious country residence set in private gardens on a quiet unadopted lane. There's ample parking, an Inglenook fireplace, flagstone floors, 2 log burners, cosy rugs, substantial common areas. Set in the charming village of Ryhall near the Roman market town of Stamford, the house is surrounded by fruit trees, geese, ducks, sheep and friendly locals. We welcome you to our Lodge.
“A delightful old farmhouse. A kitchen with stone floors, built-in cupboards, a range, massive table to gather round and an awesome woodburner that was very easy to light. The snug was cosy and the lounge very stylish. Some really nice quirky touches (downstairs loo sink!). I can imagine in summer the outside patio and stepped garden would be fantastic. There are a few steps up and down indoors, but mum and dad, well into their 80s managed it all. The village itself is very pretty. We had a very happy two nights there.”

“Great location in the centre of Stamford. The room is above a garage and really cozy with an extremely comfortable bed and powerful shower. Little touches like orange juice and snacks were very welcome. Miriam provided detailed instructions in terms of parking options and key collection. Miriam was happy to provide other advice if needed. Great stay”
The property is early Victorian, situated on a really quiet street. The room is light and airy, south-facing with a king size bed and black-out curtains. The private bathroom is adjacent. Tea and coffee-making facilities plus TV, hairdryer and free WiFi are available. There is also a large family room which sleeps four, available on request.
“Frances's house is spacious, quiet, and beautifully decorated with art work. I really appreciated having an individual bathroom for myself, and the wonderful healthy breakfast. Frances and her husband couldn't have been more helpful. The location of the house is close to center of Stamford, with its amazing Georgian and Victorian buildings, and within good walking distance to the station. I had a really great stay!”
