Cave holiday rentals in Basilicata

We are so very grateful that we found Angela's place. It was a last minute booking for us and we didn't have very high expectations. If we would have had though, the high expectations would have been met!! We stayed in the loft apartment and it was very clean, very practical furnished and very quiet and peaceful. There was everything you needed. The pool was cold but I love that since it was hot summer when we visited. Sun all day on the sun chairs!! Her two dogs were lovely. Angela as a host is the best host I've ever had during all my airbnb stays. Very attentive, easy communication, super friendly and really helpful. I would most definitely come back to casa pistacchio. The house is located at the bottom of the city (its a steep and cool city!), and the accommodation provided parking. Grazie mille Angela 🫶

We had a lovely stay in the cave! The apartment was excellent with all amenities, wonderful atmosphere and great location. Maria was incredibly helpful, very responsive and on hand to offer support and recommendations. Definitely recommend!

we had a really good time. The structure was impeccable. The owners immediately made us feel comfortable and everything was super clean. Then it doesn't happen every day to have an immersive experience in a cave and sleep isolated from everything else. Quiet and secluded really great. Thank you ♥️

Highly recommended! If you are looking for an authentic experience, this would be it. Ivana Anna is a awesome host. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Due to the language barrier, she was very respective to using Google Translator. In fact, upon arrival, she treats you like family or a long lost friend. Thank you for everything, Ivana Anna!

Linda's place was amazing - it has the most 'personality' of any Air B&B that I have stayed in. As soon as we sent our friends some photos - they were all saying "wow"... I really appreciated Linda giving me some handy hints on where to park our hire car and was glad when she helped me work out how to get her to her place. The mistake we made was relying on the maps link which was not accurate. I know understand that Maps are hard to use in places that are as steep as Matera. Matera was so quiet just before Christmas that we were concerned that nothing was open for dinner. This was our mistake - once 7:30/ 8pm hit, there were many amazing places to eat at. We have recommended Linda's place to some of our friends who now kow about Matera as it is not a usual place on the tourist map for a lot of Aussies doing their whirlwind trips to the other side of the world!

The accommodation is very nice and relaxing, one of which you no longer want to leave. There is everything you need and convenient paid parking directly in front of the house. The location is great for visiting the stones on foot.

Slightly over priced for a house in other cities, but well worth it.Living in the core area, living in a beautiful cave was a great experience. It's even more of a different vibe to walk around the old town at night.
