Nice and calm apartment!

Recently built guesthouse on the property of an old mill. We (two families) live in the main building. Both apartments have a seperate entrance and a terrace showing to the little creek which gives it a romantic touch. The place is 10 km from Basel which can be reached by bus or train in about 30 minutes. In the village nearby you´ll find a supermarket and other stores. Good starting point to explore the Black Forrest. The mixture of nature and civilisation makes it a special place!

The area is perfect for hikers, motorcyclists, bikers and otherwise all who love nature. It is also not far to Lörrach (14 km), Schopfheim (13 km) or Basel (27 km).

The old dyeing plant, a factory from the 19th century, was expanded for mixed use. In addition to apartments, workshops and medical practices, guest rooms were built under the shed roofs of the factory halls. It was important to us to give the old building fabric a new use and make it tangible. We were able to completely preserve the building envelope and reuse renewed components in other contexts. New components were left in their natural state.

Just 30 minutes away is the cultural offer of the trade fair city of Basel with its numerous museums, galleries and events.

Our grounds with direct access to the river Rhine and near the city of Basel are open annually from March to November and has a lot to offer! Beautiful, quiet apartment with patio and shared garden, with private entrance. Located quietly but quite centrally. It is only a 7-minute walk to S-Bahn 6 to Basel, and 150 m to the nearest supermarket. Downtown Schopfheim is approx. 1 km. If you feel comfortable in a medieval small town with beautiful shops and restaurants, and want to visit Basel and the Black Forest, you are in good hands here. The Wiese river is 100 m to the west.
