Just 200 meters from Pension Ciudadela you can visit the famous Catalan Gothic church of Santa María del Mar or the Picasso Museum itself, located in one of the Gothic palaces of the famous Montcada Street, Barcelona Cathedral is a 15-minute walk away. The Born neighborhood is one of the oldest and most culturally-rich historical neighborhoods in Barcelona. Its name means 'tournament' because it is where jousts were held in the Middle Ages. Its narrow, winding medieval streets, along with its picturesque, quiet squares, coexist with a huge variety of classic quality restaurants, ethnic food, terraces, and tapas bars, as well as a very rich offer of small businesses with avant-garde workshops, designers, and artists.
