Find Calm at a Neutral City Sanctuary with Sleek Style

You wake up to the sun rising over Barcelona's most famous buildings, gently streaming in through the window of your first-floor bedroom. You pad across the marble floors in your slippers and brew a cup of coffee, then head to the rooftop terrace. Look left and see the spires of Sagrada Familia rising above the rooftops. Look right, and over the top of the Conservatory of Music you can make out a glimmer of the sparkling Mediterranean, calling you to make every day a beach day. From up here, life in Barcelona is good. Here's what you can expect when you stay at Picasso Suites: The Bedrooms: Sleep up to 4 guests comfortably with one bedrooms-- with a double bed--and a sofa-bed in the living room. The Bathroom: A walk-in rain shower Kitchen/Common Area: Stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, flat-screen TV in the lounge, contemporary design elements throughout. I love making people feel at home in my adopted city, especially if it means saving you from an overpriced meal at a tourist trap. I, along with my reception team, am here for you -- unless you'd prefer us not to be! Think of us as your holiday concierge, on-call if you need a restaurant recommendation or to stash your bags for a few hours because your flight arrives or leaves at a weird time. We've got you covered. Eixample's beautiful architecture is world-famous. Just outside the old city, Dreta de l'Eixample's leafy boulevards are home to Gaudí's Casa Batlló, Casa Mila, and La Pedrera. High-end shops on the ritzy Passeig de Gracia are just a few blocks away. Whatever it is you came to see in Barcelona, I'll bet it's within easy walking distance of the house. Sagrada Familia? 13 minutes. Passeig de Gracia shopping? Right around the corner. The Gothic Quarter? Psh, you can see it from the terrace! If you want to venture farther out, it's easy to do on public transport. The nearest metro stations are the L4-Girona stop (yellow line) and the L5-Verdaguer stop (blue line). The L4 will take you to the beach (3 stops), while the L5 will get you to Sants railway station (4 stops) or anywhere else you want to go. And the Mercat de la Concepció bus station is just minutes away, with buses serving Madrid, Seville and basically everywhere else. From the airport, a cab will run you about €45, or take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya, which is a short 20-minute walk from the building. Local permit: HUTB-006798

Relaxed, Spacious Loft with Jetted Tub

A typically newyorkan style semi-loft space, the property is located in one of the very best areas in Barcelona - at walking distance from the city centre, the city’s main avenue Paseo de Gracia and Gaudi’s famous buildings. Enchanting and welcoming, the loft is divided in two main areas - a wide sitting/dining room with integrated kitchen on one hand and open space bedroom and bathroom on the other. By the way, you don't want to forget to take a nice relaxing long bath! You know why? The bathroom will surprise you with a fabulous Jacuzzi! Thick brick walls, high ceilings with fully restored rustic Catalan wooden elements add onto the property that special note of history and character that makes it unique. The deco is vintage while it benefits of great interior natural light thanks to the exterior balconies on two sides - overlooking Aribau Street. The furniture varies from vintage items to unique pieces I found in antiques markets and I then personally restored, to a few modern units - all in all giving the place a personal charm! The flat sleeps up to 4 people thanks to its very comfortable sofa bed. Nevertheless, don't forget that the space is limited and a good degree of friendship is required to share a reduced space! The flat is fully equipped and you will need to bring but your suitcase to come and enjoy your stay in Barcelona! It has all been sorted for you: bathroom towels, bedding, air/con, central heating, kettle, toaster, washing machine, dryer, etc, are included! On top of that you will find available some of the basic kitchen ingredients like milk, bread, sugar, salt, olive oil...and....surprise!...a bottle of local wine ...to get you nicely relaxed on your holiday! I am a mum of two - so should you need any baby equipment - no need to travel it over - I could help with that! Before arrival I will send you an email with my best recommendations on the local cultural and gastronomical offer. I will be happy to help you through any doubts or questions you may have about your stay - so to make sure that you truly and utterly can concentrate on just enjoying your visit! A last important note! Aribau Street is well known for its restaurants, bars and liveliness! At times it can be noisy. But no worries! The flat is fully sound proof! It is a neighborhood with a lot of life, bars, restaurants, cafes and shops.
