Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. We invite you to come...... and experience country life.

Head into South Haven, St Joe’s Silver Beach, or Saugatuck and enjoy the beaches, shops and restaurants. Head to one of the many winery’s. Or just stick around at our beach just around the block. The Gathering place is a "barndominium" studio that sleeps 4 comfortably, just 10 miles to South Haven beaches and SW Michigan wine trails. Relax in the studio and private patio with family or invite some friends and park a camper right outside! This unique space offers a full hookup for friends to join! The studio feature a king size bed with a full size mattress that slides underneath. Stay comfortable with AC, electric fireplace, WIFI, TV, gas grill, patio with firepit and hot tub!

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is nestled to the back of the 3.6 acres of a private wooded land with a short walk to the all sport lake. The updated home features two bedrooms, sleeping loft, family room, washer/dryer, all the amenities of home. Enjoy the 160 ft of lakefront off our private dock. We have 2 kayaks, a Canoe and a small fishing boat, floaties and life vests for boating or swimming. Enjoy a day at the lake, cook dinner on one of our grills and enjoy the evening by the firepit.
