Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Balestrate

We were in Mondello in July 2024 and had a fantastic vacation. The beaches and the turquoise blue sea were stunningly beautiful. The apartment of our host Gabriella was just as beautiful as in the pictures, very clean and well appointed. We didn't lack anything. The terrace provides shade during the day and invites you to a glass of wine in the evening – simply beautiful. Gabriella is a warm and loving host who can always be reached by phone. A special experience was when we closed the front door in the middle of the night and the key was inside. We called Gabriella, and her husband came right away to help us. We are very grateful for that. Gabriella was always available for questions and useful tips. We felt very comfortable with her – it doesn't get any better than that. Thank you, Gabriella, for this unforgettable, wonderful holiday! Grazie mille ♡♡♡

A great base for visiting the nature reserves, Trapani, Marsala, Erice, Segesta, and Palermo! Hosts were very responsive and attentive to our needs. They answered questions and addressed any concerns very quickly. Best surprise- the shower had amazing water pressure and hot temperature… perfect after long days exploring, hiking, and boating!

Roberto is a very welcoming host, he is very responsive and gave us some great recommendations in the area. He even brought us breakfast twice. The house has an unobstructed view of the sea with private access without sand space to settle in but with a small concrete terrace. We also enjoyed the outdoor terrace which is sheltered from the wind and where we spent very pleasant evenings. We had a good week in Sicily and the location very close to the airport (15 min) was a plus. The cities of Trapani, Palermo, Mondello, Segeste are easily accessible within 1 hour and Cefalu at 1h20.

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the view and the swimming pool. Giuseppe was very helpful and made local recommendations. Especially the bakery, ice cream shop and restaurant nearby we were happy with (S.Nicola), but also a lovely trip to Cefalú - where the restaurant A Paranza made delicious pizzas. Giuseppe also recommended good restaurants in Palermo. We would definitely recommend the place to others and would love to come back.

Vincenzo and his family were wonderful hosts - they were easy to communicate with, helpful when we had questions, and friendly. Vincenzo's parents greeted us at arrival, helped us get settled, and left us with a few delicious homemade foods to enjoy! Highly recommend if visiting this gorgeous Sicilian city.

We had a great time in Mondello. The accommodation is perfect, great location, extremely welcoming and available host. I would highly recommend.

Elena's antico baglio is truly a beautiful and authentic place to stay in Sicily. It is a quiet oasis amidst an area of lush nature full of olive, lemon & tangerine trees, datura and all kinds of flowers that grow during springtime. The accommodation itself has all the modern comfort one needs and is decorated in a sober but stylish fashion. It has two terraces, one upstairs where you can enjoy the evening sunshine and one downstairs. The location is perfect - if one rents a car - to visit Palermo, Segesta, Erice, Scopello, the Riserva dello Zingaro, etc. We had a lovely time and would go back immediately. Elena was very responsive and always standby and the housekeeper Marilena who let us in and welcomed us was very friendly and charming. We recommend this lovely place wholeheartedly. Lucia’s home was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The numerous flights of stairs were a challenge but we soon got used to them. Our host Lucia was very kind and generous with her time, she answered all our questions and stayed in contact throughout our visit. Thank you Lucia for the water, milk and biscuits. Trapani is a beautiful place to visit, especially Erice. Bus 23 from the Port goes to the cable car that takes you up the mountain to Erice.

David is a very friendly, funny, and warm host who met us at the apartment to make sure our check in was smooth (and it was!). He totally made us feel right at home and welcome -- just a great person to talk to! The apartment was terrific -- the kitchen was well-equipped, and the space was roomy and spotless. The location was perfect as well -- close to the water and within walking distance to all the markets, and tons of stores and restaurants. Palermo is an awesome city, made even more special by Davide and his place. Thank you for a perfect stay, Davide!!!

Vincenzo's place has a good location just out of the centre of Palermo. It is clean, well furnished and has everything you will need for an extended stay. I was there for a month and found that I had everything that I needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the internet is fast and reliable. Although the apartment is small, the space is very well utilized. A great option for a comfortable stay in Palermo.

It was truly a privilege to stay at Lucia's custom built flat. It has the perfect blend of rich history and morden amenities. The view from the rooftop patio was out of this world and the flat was so close to all the major sites and yet completely isolated from street noise for a good rest. If you are lucky enough to find her listing available, you need to book it now! We will definitely come back in the future. Thank you Lucia for a wonderful experience in Palermo!

Quiet place, located in a good spot, close to everything you need. Marina has been very friendly and responsive.

Had a lovely stay in Capaci! Michaela and Dario were super helpful hosts. The place is large, two separate bedrooms and a large, comfy couch. Kitchen is very well stocked. Fantastic sunset views from the balcony. The beach is near, so is the train which makes it super convenient. We rented a car to explore other parts of the island, the parking spot came in handy. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Nice place, wonderful location.

Leti was responsive and efficient from the moment we booked our stay. She organised a taxi from the airport and he was waiting for us. We had a couple of questions and she replied promptly. The view was wonderful and encompassed the whole of the bay and there was always something to see/going on. It could get a little noisy at night as the locals dined out exceptionally late -the restaurant was still receiving guests at 11pm! Thank you Leti

Guiseppe's place was a beautiful apartment situated in a fantastic, authentic Mercado Baralla neighbourhood teaming with life and a great barrio attitude. We loved it. We had breakfast in a local cafe and pizza in a small square. Truly charming and people great. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved this place! Myself and five friends stayed for two nights and it was great. Spacious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, which were great for our party. Prime location to the heart of Palermo as well. Definitely recommend!

We, a family with four children aged 6 to 17, had a wonderful week in Palermo in October. The area was pleasant, with relatively few other tourists, as well as plenty of nice restaurants, bars, specialty shops, and supermarkets. Based on various articles, we had low expectations for public transport, but bus lines like 101 and 806 were frequent and reliable.

Very nice hosts and kind. The apartment is located literally at 3 minutes walk from the beach with an amazing spot for the sunset. Also very easy to park the car and it has a supermarket a few seconds from the apartment. Couldn’t recommend it more

Francesca is a very good host! Always helpful and very polite. She was very quick to respond to the aftermath and tried to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. The apartment is clean, bright and much nicer than in the pictures. The kitchen had perfect amenities. We enjoyed our stay at Francesca's place.

Robertos condo is very nice and the view from balcony to beach and ocean is like painting. Aparment was clean and lots of glasses and other kitchen stuff. No problem to fit 4 adults and 4 kids. Strong recommendation if you are looking for silent place on beach to spend your holiday.
