Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Bairrada DOC

It was a very nice cottage, small, but everything was in good material, nice shower, nicely decorated with nice wood details. We slept wonderfully with the windows open and the sound of the river, otherwise it was completely quiet at night. Outside nice terraces, wonderfully seated with our feet in the river, a fantastic environment, completely unobstructed views at the back of the house and a lovely hamlet. We walked every day for half an hour to Gois, a beautiful village with river and delicious pastries at the paladeria. We thought it was very nice!

Little paradise on earth. Luckily I was able to stay this weekend because some guest, decided to mess up with security system of the house and was either expelled or invited to leave... The cameras are outside, for eaven sake, either you planing to do something iligal or they wont bother you at all. As a global traveler been everywhere, but this place is really special. The place is huge, well decorated. The cherry on top of the cake, I was able to catch my own oranges and avocatos from the garden... incredible! The host was amaizing, not intrusive but always there to help if necessary

We loved our stay at Casa do Professor. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lovely views, beautiful house inside and out. It worked well for a day trip to the Duoro wine area and another to Viseu, it was wonderful to come home to. Also nice walks in the general area (one was from the house, towards town, onto the ecopista). Lovely, quiet area full of small villages. Easy driving, groceries and restaurants nearby. We cooked a few meals and had what we needed. Having the washing machine was helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, yummy pastries delivered by Antonio's parents. Antonio was responsive and gave a lot of helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Highly recommended!

The apartment was perfect, the area was quiet, 2 minutes from the beach, there were good restaurants nearby and the apartment matched the description provided. We would recommend it!

Fernando was always there for us, but also left us very private, the house was nice, bedrooms fine, and a very nice garden. in the morning there were fresh bread rolls, and the house was well stocked. We felt very welcome and had a good week.

We had a excellent stay in Cernache. The spacious apartment offered enough space for all our needs and was attractively furnished and very clean. The processed wood has a great scent. Antonio personally greeted us and gave us tips on the stay and the area. Particularly beautiful was the garden with orange and lemon trees, which gave us fresh juice for the breakfast table, a playhouse and swings as well as a small pool, which was particularly pleasing to our daughter. Coimbra is just a stone's throw away, but Cernache also welcomed us in a very friendly way, the people on site were all very accommodating. Thank you!

Very nice house with all the amenities and very complete, there is everything to spend the whole stay, everything impeccable, we felt at home, quiet place ideal to disconnect and be in a natural environment. Near Coimbra, which is where we were going. Pedro has been very attentive and responds very quickly if you have any questions. I definitely recommend it 100%. We went with 5 friends and the place is perfect for everyone. We will return without hesitation, but next time I will go with my children, I think it is ideal to go with children.

Adri and Petra are wonderful hosts. They greeted us personally, provided great information and were very generous and kind. We wish we could have stayed longer, as their place is beautiful. We were surrounded by nature, right in the middle of stunning mountains and hills. It was tranquil and peaceful and great for taking long dog walks or hikes. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

A fantastic place to stay, very comfortable, well equipped, great swimming pool area with honesty bar, and a lovely friendly Labrador, which was especially appreciated, as we were travelling by motorcycle and had left our two Labradors at home. 🤗☺️

Hello Mr. Pedro! We would like to thank you for all the hospitality during our stay at your accommodation in Póvoa Dão. We were delighted with the space – it is quiet, well cared for and the pool was a real luxury in these hot days! It was wonderful to be able to bring our dog Escobar, who also loved the environment and the outdoor space. It is increasingly rare to find such beautiful places that accept animals so naturally. Beautiful location, right next to the river and the mill. Bruno was a communicative and helpful host. It's very small, as it says in the description, but for 2 nights was ok.

What a wonderful place to stay! The house is incredibly spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with a great view of the countryside. (The only lack was an oven, although there’s a convection microwave and BBQ and even an outdoor pizza oven.) Carlos was an amazing host, so warm and kind and concerned that we enjoy our stay. For example, he told us about a folkloric festival nearby which was only attended by locals (and us), and when I asked about an orange juicer, he went and bought one and brought it over. We used the place as a base to explore Coimbra (30 minutes away), to kayak the Mondego river (from Penacova 20 minutes away with O Pinheiro), and to cycle the Dao ecopisto, a 48 km decommissioned railway line (which you can do one way with Abelenda Bike Rental who include transfer). I highly recommend staying here.

Richard and Ishbel offer a very special home, allowing you to get off the grid and be surrounded by beautiful nature while also being very close to many amenities - gas, grocery, cafes and restaurants within a 10mins drive. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly, and live next door and are very respectful of your privacy and helpful with providing suggestions. They have a large property that is a paradise for kids to explore with rabbits, cats, dogs, ducks and chickens - and even horses across the stream at another property.

A beautiful little house with everything you need for your stay. We were able to use the bbq! Paula is always attentive, and the place is very quiet. We really enjoyed it!!

We felt very comfortable in the two-room apartment. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove and washing machine! Here you can endure it longer, the amenities correspond to more of a private home than a holiday apartment. The shower is great, unfortunately there is no ventilation in the pipe system, but that hardly disturbs it. The fireplace in the living room is especially great. Rodrigo's apartment is on the third floor, so it is quiet. The balcony is nice and sunny and you can hang laundry here. Parking spaces were sufficiently available, and all the best: Mega beach is just a few steps away.

The apartment is exactly as described. The view is fantastic. You can watch the children playing in the sand from the balcony. Various restaurants and a minimarket are within walking distance. Fernando is an extremely courteous host. We'll definitely come back here sometime.

The apartment was clean, modern and spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Several windows gave great views of the gondolas on the canal. Light filled the apartment during tne day but highly effective blackout blinds made sleeping at night a pleasure. We didn't have a car but everything was within walking distance. Walking back and forth to the train station took about 20 minutes each way. The bus stop to catch the public bus to the beach at Costa Nova is just a short walk from the apartment. Both Ely and Fatima were friendly, responsive and helpful. We would love to return some day.

We had an excellent stay, the house is comfortable, super clean, and very cozy. It has a shop and bakery nearby. We would definitely go back.

Everything was as described, close to the beach, which, however, felt 500 m wide, until you finally reach the water. The apartment offered us what we needed.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a hidden paradise. The place is absolutely stunning: remote, peaceful, and breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable, with a spacious bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a great outdoor barbecue that worked perfectly for us. However, the real charm is in the outdoor areas. Not only did we have a waterfall right at the doorstep, we were also able to enjoy a natural pool just for ourselves. The sound of the water, the refreshing swims in the river, the clean air... it all created a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words. Truly revitalizing. Alex was the perfect host: kind, helpful, and communicative, while also giving us complete privacy and space to enjoy. Super easy to talk to and made everything smooth from start to finish. Trust me, this one is a real gem. We already can't wait to come back!
