La Quinta Private Room 2 TWIN Beds

Everything was very nicely decorated and especially in the evening we had a very nice atmosphere. The price was fair. There was only a misunderstanding with the washing machine, where 10 dollars is a common price for laundry. Thank You!

It is my second time and I would return if we visit Manuel Antonio again. Comfortable and cozy. We got to see howler monkeys! I think the best thing is that is a quiet place.

This place is a gem! The owner(s) clearly put a lot of love into the place and the landscaping. I absolutely loved the river access and enjoyed it every day - so many fun places to explore right from the Airbnb! I could easily spend an entire month here. I hope that I am able to stay again someday.

Rancho Las Tilapias # 4

I liked the place very much, it was a blessing, very quiet. The host was very helpful, I needed a good wi-fi connection and he was able to provide. There is a lot to do in the place and is also conveniently close to Manuel Antonio's National Park and other beaches. I appreciate he was able to accomodate us in such a short notice.

8 km drive on unpaved road. Nice, clean cottage, well-equipped kitchen. Great views and surrounded by greenery. Absolutely quiet. From the terrace we could watch many birds. 2 giant tokens greeted us in the morning.

River and Rainforest Ecolodge near Manuel Antonio

NickRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Cara's ecolodge is an amazing place to stay. You are immersed in nature and it's incredibly peaceful there. The waterfall and the river on the property are a huge plus and we enjoyed them both very much. The caretakers and Cara are super friendly and Doña Luz's food down the street was delicious. We wished we could have eaten her meals everyday of the trip! Couldn't recommend this place more!

Exceptional experience! It was super relaxing and quiet - not as in the middle of the jungle as we thought, so no problem at all with small children - it is super nicely laid out, the beds are great - a mirror would still be great :)

Rainforest and River Retreat near Manuel Antonio

JessicaRating, 5 stars12 months ago
I cannot say enough about Cara’s space! I hosted a women’s healing retreat and it just blew me out of the water. The outdoor showers were amazing, the tents were so clean and cute, the waterfall and river an absolute stunning view, the energy of being in the middle of the jungle, the next door neighbor cooked all home cooked meals. It was just so beautiful and magical to be at this center and offering this amazing space and energy to my gals that attended the retreat! Will definitely be hosting my next retreat at Caras again!!

Cerró Vuelto lodge is a fantastic place with fantastic people. The food was amazing and as a birder I was impressed by the many trails through different habitats on the property. The owners are very nice and make you feel right at home in the common spaces. Would recommend to anyone

River and Rainforest Ecolodge near Manuel Antonio

I’d stay here again and again and again. Every detail, from the beautiful and functional glamping tents, to the rock sinks and outdoor showers, to the full stocked kitchen (both in the common area AND in our own space) to the yoga deck have been thoughtfully crafted for a superb glamping experience. We came here on recommendation from a friend, and it was hands down the best decision of our trip. Don’t miss breakfast and lunch with Doña Luz. Eating wood fire stove-cooked food, the clucks of chickens in the background and Manchez (her cat) at your side, it can’t be beat. We wish we had more time here. The waterfall is amazing. The other family there was so kind. We got a bit sentimental about this spot. And we will be back!

Las Cataratas Lodge (San Gerardo de Dota)

SophieRating, 5 stars6 months ago
David’s place is paradise. He and his family have created the most magical space. It is utterly beautiful, and feels secret and untouched. The cabins are spread through the cloud forest, and all have lovely views. They are super cosy inside with loads of blankets to keep you warm in the cooler nights. We had an en-suite shower room with a hot shower which was a treat after a day of hiking the forest. The private trails leading down to the waterfalls are quiet and magical. Full of birds and butterflies. The common area around the pond and restaurant is FULL of hummingbirds, more than I have ever seen, we watched them for hours. Our children were captivated by them. David was the most wonderful host, he was so welcoming and kind, and made us amazing food. He even helped the children fish for trout in the pond and then cooked them for us! And to top it all off, we saw a quetzal from our balcony! This is the best place we have stayed in Costa Rica. It truly is a little heaven.

Sierpe River Camp # 3

AllysonRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I have no words to descrive this place. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Much more better than the pictures. Carlos is really welcoming. The food is very good at a very affordable price. Carlos answers very quickly and he will provide help if you need. I wont recommend enough this place. Its far in costa rica and maybe a bit difficult if youre going around in bus like me but i dont regret it at all. I even book an extra night because i didnt want to leave and just stay there to enjoy this place. Yes you can go to Corcovado park which i did but walking around there was better. I dont know what the rest of my trip will be but im pretty confident this place will be the highlight of it. Do yourself a favor and book at least one complete day just staying there, going for a hike maybe kayaking. This place is wonderful, so authentic, very private, a lot of nature and birds. You dont need anything else. Mucho Gracias to Carlos, Wilson and Dermila

Mountain Spring

DanielRating, 5 stars41 months ago
If you want a legit off the beaten path, authentic Costa Rican experience then I highly recommend this stay! The views from everywhere on this property are stunning. The way the sun hits the cliffs at sunset, the way the afternoon clouds move in - the sounds of the streams, the tilapia pond, the fresh potable mountain water - so many little things combine to make this stay really enchanting. The 2 cabinas on the property are quaint, simple, and immaculate. This place is ideal just to escape, but there are other things to enjoy as well. (Also the cell signal was surprisingly powerful enough to do work when I had to). The hosts know people who can take you on the tour of the coffee plantation, and those who can take you on a 3-hr hike up above the clouds to the peak of the picturesque cliffs, and those who can take you on a shorter hike to waterfalls. It was exciting to be able to pick out some trout in their little trout farm by their stream - and get to eat it for lunch. They showed us how to squeeze fresh juice from sugar cane they have on their property too. The complimentary breakfast that the hosts prepare is a full, typical, Costa Rican breakfast - virtually all locally-sourced food! What's also incredible is that you can enjoy this while having the amazing view...while drinking your coffee--whose very beans come from the fields across the ravine, in plain sight of where you sit. These people know the simple happy life and that's why we found this experience so unique - this is the first time I felt I had a truly wholesome Costa Rican experience out of all my trips to the country! (Couple things I wish I knew to bring: ponchos for rain hikes; warm sweater and pants for evening temps. PLUS: If you're coming in a rental car, be sure to rent a mini suv at the very least). And finally, the hosts Henry and Carol are incredibly kind, such great, genial people, and they're always at your service! This memorable stay was among my favorites in its simplicity, and I'm so grateful for its serene, transformative power too.

Great and rather secluded accommodation in direct, visible proximity to the waterfall. Guided by a very friendly family. Good local full board possible. The excursion only 2 km away at the Eco Lodge is highly recommended. A good night hike was also arranged.
