Beach house holiday rentals in Avon-by-the-Sea

This is the second time we use Teresa’s place and she’s always so helpful and prompt in her replies! Will be renting again next summer :)

Such a cute place and area!!!

This house was a charming residence for my family. The location is excellent with both Asbury Park and Ocean Grove within walking distance. The amenities were thoughtfully selected with attention both the gourmet and children. Instructions were easy to follow and placed in a binder. Sal (and Todd) made sure that everyone would have their needs met, from various types of coffee and tea makers to sippy cups and beach toys for the kiddos. They were very responsive to our communication and left us a welcome gift! This house gets 5 stars!

My family and I had an exceptional time. We really appreciated all the extra effort our host made, making the stay absolutely perfect! The place was immaculate and anything we needed was there. We definitely want to book again next summer and already began looking at dates. What an amazing find!

This spot is worth every penny!! The amazing views, the roof deck, all the bedrooms/bathrooms. We had amazing communication with Michael leading up to the stay. We felt very informed prior to check in. If you’re a first time visitor he really knows his stuff. We have been coming down for decades and this was the best stay we’ve ever had! Can’t wait to go back again :)

My friends and i stayed here. We were a group of 4 and it was perfect for us! The whole place was clean and homey! The location was amazing, close to boardwalk and restaurants. It truly was the perfect place and we would 100% stay here again

This is our third or fourth time staying at Donna's. The space is perfect for our needs, a block from the beach and serene back patio. If this house wasn't always booked we would stay more often! We will absolutely be back!!!

Adams place was an amazing deal for the price, great walking location to the beach, great amenities such as the deck/ backyard, towels, and wifi. We appreciate Adam for being such a commutative and responsive host!

George & Liz’s place was exactly how they described it. It was in a quiet neighborhood close to area restaurants and the beach. We had many options for meals and the grocery store was also very close. The house is really cute and having an additional bathroom was helpful. The five of us had our own space. We enjoyed the pool and we even took a bike ride on the bikes in the shed. We really enjoyed our stay in Neptune! The hosts gave us great suggestions for nightlife and activities. They even left a nice birthday Neptune City tote for me, as I was there celebrating my birthday. This girls trip was just what we needed with comfortable accommodations.

Had a wonderful girl's weekend at the 'Retreat.' The house was very comfortable and the layout was conducive for cooking, eating and hanging out. The beds were comfy too! The backyard is amazing and we wished the weather was more cooperative for outdoor time. Communication with Ann and Mike was extremely easy and timely. We would definitely stay here again. Great experience all around ! I would consider renting this spot again , fell in love with the house and the host was great! So spacious! Anything that we forgot , the house had it , it was above and beyond equipped ! Great location ! Friendly neighbors ! Perfect for hosting an intimate gathering !

We had a wonderful 3-day stay at this beautiful home in Ocean Gate, New Jersey. The location couldn’t have been better—tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but just a short walk to the beach and close to everything we needed. The house was spotless, well-stocked, and thoughtfully set up with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There were plenty of activities to enjoy at the house, making it easy to unwind without ever feeling bored. The host truly went above and beyond—not only was communication smooth, but they also provided a fantastic guidebook full of helpful information about the house and the local area, which made getting settled and exploring a breeze. This place felt like a home away from home, and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Our stay at George’s was exactly what we were hoping for! The pool and yard gave us the space we needed to enjoy a bachelorette weekend. There were plenty of beds and space to relax within the home as well. Would definitely come back!

A true 5-star property and host. An amazing house in a beautiful area surrounded by water with access to a private beach. The house has been recently remodeled with a private king-size bedroom/bath. A second king size bed and 2 other bedrooms. The open kitchen and sun room are perfect places for a family to hang out and have meals. The amazing deck has a beautiful heated swimming pool, hot tub, kayaks and access to the waterway that runs through the neighborhood. The house has multiple tv’s including one on the deck outside. The house is in a lovely section of Mantoloking not far from restaurants and close to Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights attractions and boardwalks. My multi-generational family of 6 had a wonderful time and appreciated Donovan’s quick responses and superb communication. He was a wonderful host and we would definitely want to return again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful week.

My wife and I traveled for business and brought out two young daughters 5 and 2 y/o. There was plenty of space for us all to relax and enjoy ourselves. It felt like home which allowed us to relax and enjoy the area. The location is near a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and other convenience stores. The drive is 2 minutes. You can also walk about 5-10minutes to the area with restaurants. The walk is pleasant, as the neighborhood is well kept and gardening seems to be one of the primary hobbies. We spent time driving all over the shore for various reasons (work and leisure). The house was well situated and easy to travel wherever we needed. This house could easily accommodate 6 grown adults. Plenty of space and amenities to relax and unwind.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Compound! By far one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had. We really appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into furnishing and amenities provided. Would could not have been more comfortable and had everything we could possible need! The home was spotlessly clean and furnished beautifully with gorgeous pieces that are extremely functional and comfortable. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable and high-quality. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the basement was stocked with beach chairs and towels. Lynn clearly put lots of thought into the space and has a keen understanding of small touches that offer added value. The garage/pub was such a nice bonus! I spent a few days working out there and the wireless router extender means strong wifi for remote work. Can't beat a flexible indoor/outdoor space. 10/10 can't wait to stay here again!

Great stay with my family. Our kids loved the beach and the neighborhood is immensely walkable. The house is small but super clean and has all the necessities. Marc even offers a list of local recommendations for guests and his picks were always spot on -- from the restaurants, to the bagel shop, to the ice cream store. Easy checkout, too.

This was exactly as described ! Perfect house and perfect location for a few days at the beach. We didn’t have to drive more than five minutes to anything and the beach + food options were walkable or just a few minutes’ drive. We had a great time and highly recommend!

We rented over Christmas to be near our family for the holiday. Upon check in there was the issue of a frozen pipe, but the hosts were very accommodating and set us up in the main house. Extremely clean, warm, and welcoming it made for the perfect holiday away from our home. My husband was able to whip up desserts in the kitchen for us to bring to family, the backyard was spacious and for our dogs to run and play, and my young daughter felt right at home as did the rest of us. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We would be back again in a heartbeat and highly recommended!

You could not ask for a better hostess or a more perfect getaway!! Rachel thought of every detail anyone could possibly need for a wonderful vacation!! The home is beautiful and immaculate!! Distance from the beach is walkable and she’s provided all the necessary items for fun in the sun!! If you’ve forgotten something, just look around because Rachel probably has it! We loved sipping coffee on the front porch where there was always a breeze blowing through the wind chimes… so peaceful! We will definitely be back…. Thank you Rachel!!

Great 3 night short stay at Jennifer’s place. Layout was great for our family group of 5, all adults. Lots of bedrooms (5) & bathrooms (4). House was exactly as described. Jennifer was quick to reply to any questions I asked. She also gave us a much appreciated late checkout as no one was arriving that day. We loved the bedroom with books, games & puzzles! A nice touch. We had rain, so this was great. One thing to note: 4 beach chairs & 4 beach passes. We were short one of each. Thank you! Would recommend!!!

The house was cozy, with beautiful lighting, and very close to all the main attractions in the area. The hosts were friendly, flexible, and very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to visit again!
