Family-friendly holiday rentals in Avis

This is a beautiful home with lots of character and the hosts are nothing shy of amazing, they made us feel truly welcomed! Maria was extremely accommodating in helping us arrange transportation to where my brother was having his wedding, she herself drove 8 of my family members to the venue. She also made sure my entire family had breakfast from a local bakery on the day of the wedding which she once again picked up herself. Thank you again Maria,I will recommend your beautiful place to anyone looking for a larger place in a fantastic countryside setting. We will be staying at your place in the near future on our next family gathering.

I had a great experience in this Airbnb hosting! The house was very spacious and clean, which made my stay very comfortable. In addition, the location was incredible, with a huge public park just steps away. The park had padel courts, a soccer field and plenty of space to walk and play sports. It was great to be able to take advantage of the park facilities during my stay. Another positive point was the proximity of a market with a great variety of options, being just a few meters from the house. This made it very easy to buy groceries and meals during my stay. I strongly recommend this accommodation for those looking for a comfortable, clean place with great leisure options and outdoor activities nearby, as well as easy access to a market. I will certainly be staying here again at the next chance!

It deserves 6 stars! Paulo and Susana are great hosts, very kind and caring, they are always available to help and guide you through the beautiful area. The house is great, the garden and pool are exceptional, the view is amazing. You are quiet and in a splendid natural setting to have a relaxing holiday and recharge your batteries. We had a fantastic time with Marthe and Mathieu. They are both super friendly and hospitable and want to make their guests feel very comfortable. Always approachable and repeatedly asked us if everything was going well and we were satisfied. For us, the kitchen supplies could be a little more extensive, as we like to cook on vacation.

Very spacious house with pleasant terraces and a lovely swimming pool. Carlos and his wife welcomed us with open arms! They were very friendly and very flexible with check-in and check in. Absolutely recommended!

The best vacation we've had with your family! Thanks to Francisco and Filipa's hospitality and all the attention to detail they've had during our stay, and thanks to an absolutely wonderful house, we've had one of the best family weeks ever. It is the perfect house for a group of friends or family who want to enjoy a super relaxed stay. For children, the pool has protection around everything, there is an indoor and an outdoor play area, and everything is super safe, giving the children total freedom throughout the stay. We have looked for this option to avoid beaches this summer marked by Covid-19 and we really don't want anything else! About the house, the outdoor and indoor spaces are super spacious, with multiple options for living or relaxing, the rooms are also super spacious, 3 of which are en-suite. The kitchen is huge and super well equipped, the barbecue is super professional... The garden is a real paradise! Thank you Francisco and Fiipa for providing us with this vacation to be unforgettable!

Great home, good conditions. great place to relax and enjoy the pool

Wonderful weekend! We went on Easter holiday in April and we enjoyed the house a lot. We had a few moments with sunshine and we still managed to enjoy the pool. Eugenia always very attentive answered our phone call and sent us the location by message. The house was impeccable when we arrived: smelling, clean, and had even a crib and a feeding chair for my baby to use. For sure, we will return!!!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon two years ago and couldn't wait to come back. the area is so beautiful and the traditional Alentejo house is lovely. There is a good walking & cycling route along the ecopista, with lots of nature to see and hear. In the main town there are some excellent restaurants and the town market on Saturday is excellent. We love it here and we'll return!

We loved our stay in Evora at Jorges place!! From the start communication was excellent and he provided some really wonderful recommendations we took advantage of. The place was spacious and well appointed; the welcome bottle of wine was a perfect touch! It was a little rainy so we didnt make use of the courtyard or little balcony as much as we would have liked but I imagine these are lovely in sunny weather. Location was perfect for us - short walk from large free parking (next to aqueduct!) and right around the corner from a lot of sites. We had a great time in Evora and would definitely stay at Jorges place again!

Very nice house, clean, well located, and we didn't hear a thing at night. It's within walkable distance of the main attractions of the city (monuments and shopping). Garage easy to find with the instructions left. The host left us many recommendations, which brought us to dine at the "Taberna Sal Grosso" which was simply amazing.

This is our second stay at this property. It is situated in a lovely area below the hilltop medieval town of Castelo de Vide. The grounds are spectacular with trees, plants, rock work and charming details. There are several exterior spaces for quiet reflection as well as dining. There are views both large and small. A rooftop terrace is perfect for morning coffee accompanied by chirping birds, the tinkling of bells from the necks of sheep grazing near by, and the sound of the fountain feeding the pool. Or for cocktails at sunset. It is heaven! The house is quite large, with ample space for gathering both indoors and out. Suzanne, the hostess, is very responsive and helpful with suggestions about places to see, local restaurants and events. We will be back.

The house was very good, with everything we needed (a microwave was missing) and in the middle of nature, which is just what we were looking for. We were welcomed by Teresa and her partner were very kind and gave directions to everything. Maybe the only thing we didn't expect was that the bathroom was out of the house, which although it was next door, as it made us bad weather and had no heating we went a little cold. Otherwise, everything was great and a recommended experience!

Charming, unique and huge house in the center of beautiful Evora. We had a great experience staying in this building and Paulo was a very responsive and friendly host. We will be happy to come back!

This beautifully updated traditional stone house exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way! It is quaint but with everything we needed for our 3-night stay, including good heat (which we used due to the chilly weather). We gave all 5s except one 4 because the house is right next to the road. The 18" thick walls in the house keep the noise to a minimum and the road is not busy at all, so no big deal. The host prepared a super-helpful booklet of nearby sights and restaurants that we referred to regularly (in both Portuguese and English). We can't recommend this place highly enough!

We love everything. Maria Francisca and her husband are extremely polite, helpful, friendly and always available. Their place is exactly like in the pictures. A not so modern house, but with all the comforts and comfort. The air-conditioning is also excellent. I highly recommend and as soon as possible, we will be back.

Rita is an exceptional host, fully dedicated to the well being of her guests. She is a very gentle, nice and generous person (and we enjoyed her Portuguese breakfast).

Million dollar view, amazing area and peaceful place to have a great time to enjoy our vacation

It was a wonderful place, an amazing house where everything was cleverly designed which we enjoyed. The house was divided in two sections which fitted perfectly for a family of 9 persons. Also a good dining room with an amazing view to the mountains which even more had a good function during rainy periods, The big screen was a scoop and the bath tub was a great with with the kids. We can only recommend the house and would like to come back.

We had a wonderful time at Catarina’s place. The cottage was peaceful and quiet and had all things necessary for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped, which we appreciated so much as we enjoyed cooking our meals. The pool was our favourite spot during the day and the huge estate allowed for gorgeous evening walks. We loved having the dogs around and getting some cuddles in. :) We would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a tranquil vacation, and we are hoping to return ourselves as well!

Very friendly and available host. All amenities at the property. We particularly loved the garden space, the swimming pool and also the four-legged “friends”. It met expectations.

Danielle and I really enjoyed our stay in Carlos and Isabel guesthouse. A few things immediately come to mind when reviewing their guesthouse, like the cleanliness of the house and the beautiful decor. Clearly all of the amenities have been well thought out to make you feel at home and comfortable. Unfortunately, it was too cold to use their swimming pool. One minor suggestion would be to add a streaming service with the TV. We found Carlos to be friendly and very attentive to our needs during our stay. The location is rural, but only a short 5 minute drive to the city of Évora. There are a couple of small villages within a few minutes drive. In fact Danielle and I enjoyed one of our favourite Portuguese meals in the village of Valverde.
